    Keep Pressing On

“We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We do not know what to do, but we do not give up the hope of living. We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed.” 2nd Corinthians 4:8-9

For many of us, everyday seems like a roller coaster, full of ups, downs, and a little anxiety mixed in. Through it all the bible encourages in over and over again to keep pressing on!

“Not that I have already attained or I’m already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has already laid hold of me.” Philippians 3:12

Today, I have felt a little discouraged about a few obstacles in my life I have been trying to over come. Preparing for today’s devotional the words “keep pressing on” kept ringing true to my current situations. I want to remind you as well, to look beyond your current circumstances and keep pressing on towards your goals and dreams!

Hold On! Don’t give up now! God sees everything you are dealing with and going through. He is not shocked or surprised at your situation. He has already planned a way of escape for you. He is willing and able to rescue you! Just keep pressing on! Trust in the Lord, he is Good. He has brought you here to strengthen your faith in him. To take you higher, further and closer to him. There is nothing to big for God! There is no obstacle in your life he can’t rescue you from. Cast your cares on him for he cares for you. He has rescued me over and over again, and I know he will rescue you too!

John 14:1 says, Jesus said, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me.”

Hebrews 10:35 – 36 says, “So do not lose the courage you had in the past, which has great reward. You must hold on, so you can do what God wants and receive what He has promised.”

Father, today I choose to hold on to my faith in You. I choose to keep pressing on and I know that you are faithful, and I believe that You will complete everything that You’ve started in my life. We thank you and praise your holy name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
