Default 'The Ten Commandments': Exodus Comes to ABC

ABC loves "The Ten Commandments" so much, it plans on airing two versions of the beloved biblical epic in a single week.

The network's nearly eight hours of Exodus begins Monday, April 10, at 9 p.m., with Part 1 of a new, two-part, four-hour miniseries. Part 2 airs the following evening.

Then, just four days later, on Saturday, April 15, ABC will present its traditional spring airing (coinciding with the beginning of Passover on April 12) of Cecil B. Demille's 1956 classic, "The Ten Commandments" - starring Charlton Heston as Moses - from 8 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

Yeah Jeff!

My wife, son and myself are eager to
check out this latest installment on one
the Bible's and 'history's' mightiest but
still human men of God!

We hope the Holy Spirit will minister God's
Word through this movie and 'divert' people
from dwelling on the 'Davinci Code and Judas
Gospel'!

Let me know what you think about Part 1
tonight after you see it brother!

God Bless!

Your brother in Crist,
Joe

Default Ten Commandments Review

An Observation: New ' Ten Commandments' Movie

We watched in anticipation the latest Hollywood instalment
of one of the Bible's most beloved and powerful Men of God,
'Moses'!

The newest 'Ten Commandments' version not like the classic
Cecil B. Demille's ultralavish 1956 production starring the
actor Charlton Heston. A thundering portrayal of the 'Savior'
of Israel who by God's direction led the children out of the
Egyptian slavery and bondage of 400 years!

This 'new' version showed a more human Moses full of doubts,
fears and apprehension. Like us at times!

We enjoyed watching it except for the 'license' the director, Robert
Dornhelm exercised. Like 'Demille's' movie, some biblical accounts
were either ommitted or added. And, just like Demille's Hollywood
threw in some events that were never recorded in God's Word.

There were 'many' points that the Holy Spirit spoke to my family and
I about. But these I am sharing are in keeping with 'Good Friday' and
the 'Resurrection' [Easter] of Our dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

[1] The individual 'lamb' for a house!

Ex:12:2: This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall
be the first month of the year to you.

Ex:12:3: Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth
day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to
the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

Ex:12:21: Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them,
Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

'Kill the 'passover'! The passover 'Lamb'! Jesus! Christ the 'passover' lamb,
would be 'killed' on the very day of the the commemoration of Moses leading
the children of Israel out of 'human' bondage.

Matt:26:2: Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son
of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Where as Christ would through His sacrifice, propitiation, [' The act of atoning
for sin or wrongdoing, Rom.3:25; 1John2:2;4:10 ] would lead us out of
'spiritual' bondage into everlasting life!

Rom. 6:22: But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye
have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Isa:53:7: He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his
mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before
her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

John1:29: The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and
saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

1Pe:1:19: But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot: Ex:12:5: Your lamb shall be without blemish.

Moses under God's direction, prophetically showing that an 'individual'
lamb is called for for an individual 'Salvation' for an individual man,
woman or child to be 'indivually' received for their individual and
personal Salvation!

John 10:9: I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and
shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Rev. 3:20: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice,
and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

[2] 'The Blood of the Lamb' :

Ex. 12:7: And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side
posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

The entrance way to the homes of the believers of Jehovah 'covered' by
the 'lamb's' blood.

Jesus is the the lamb, whose 'blood' is applied to the entance
way of our hearts when we receive His 'blood' atonement and His
forgiveness. 1John 1:7.

Rom:5:11: And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Rev. 1:5 Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his
own blood. John 1:29

Ex:12:13: And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses
where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you.

Rev. 20:6: Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:
on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of
God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

God sees the 'Blood' of Christ that has been applied to us and we have
'no' need to worry about His wrath or eternal damnation all because
of the 'Blood of the Lamb of God'!

Rev. 6:16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us
from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Rev. 6:17: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Heb:9:19: For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people
according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with
water, and scarlet wool, and * hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and
all the people,

Ex:24:8: And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said,
Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you
concerning all these words.

" The blood, and sprinkled it on the people",type and shadow of the precious
Blood of Jesus 'sprinkled', spiritually on us through His atonemnet.

Heb:9:20: Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath
enjoined unto you. Exodus 24:5-8.

Heb:9:21: Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all
the vessels of the ministry.

Heb:9:22: And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and
without shedding of blood is no remission.

* Hyssop, Exodus 12:22. 'And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop,'

def. *A European mint with aromatic and pungent leaves used in perfumery
and as a seasoning in cookery; often cultivated as a remedy for bruises;
yields hyssop oil.

John 19:29: Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a
spunge with vinegar, and put it upon * hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

Psalms:51:7: Purge me with * hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and
I shall be whiter than snow.

Prophetic utterance by David foretelling the 'hyssop' that would be be
used on our Lord just before he died on the cross. The total culmination
of God's prophetic Word instructing Moses to use 'hyssop' to 'sprinkle'
the blood of the lamb on the people!

God's total sovereignty once again shown even when His Son, the Lord
Jesus is ready to 'lay down His Life' for so great a salvation!

To fulfillHis Word from Abel to Moses to Christ in the plan of God for our blessed
redemption!

Heb:12:24: And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood
of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

1Peter 1:19: But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish
and without spot:

Moses to Good Friday:

John 19:30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is
finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

'Finished', Greek word; teleo {tel-eh'-o} to bring to a close, to finish, to end.

"It is finished or paid" John 19:30
Christ satisfied God's justice by dying for all to pay for the sins of the elect.

These sins can never be punished again since that would violate God's
justice. Sins can only be punished once, either by a substitute or by yourself.

Matt :1:21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS:
for he shall save his people from their sins.
__________________________________________________ _________________

After watching a sometimes 'bewidered' and frustrated portrayal of Moses in this
movie, you can see that he loved God! He didn't always understand God's commands
and directions, but he was 'obedient' and served God by child-like 'Faith' instead
of trying to figure out 'the' mysteries of Jehovah!

This Good Friday my family and I are so grateful for Jesus' supreme sacrifice in
God's redemptive plan for our salvation! We hope you are too! And thank
God that 'He is alive today!"

Mat t:28:6: He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place
where the Lord lay.

I'm reminded of that old gospel song that I like to sing all the time!

" Oh Happy Day! , " Oh Happy Day! " Oh Happy Day! " O Happy Day!"
When Jesus washed, " When He washed" Oh when He washed,
" Yes when He washed," Oh When my Jesus... washed all my sins away! "

" Oh Happy Day" Yes it was a Happy Day! "

God Bless!

Your brother in Yeshua,

Joe
