I was there when he did this, he was playing with the Mike Stern group at Yoshi's in Oakland.
Great show, I just saw them again last month, but he had Richard Bona on bass, Bona is probably the best bass guitarist I have ever seen. It's one thing to be good at guitar, but to be really good at bass is something way different.
