Hi Bondman and Sister. I have scratched my head about whether I am in fact suffering from this also. I literally crawl out of bed every morning...but it IS painfully , slowly getting better!(CFS,as well as IBS) I have changed some things in my diet that has brought much releaf, but still have bouts. Sugar! and sugar subs. They are NO-NO'S!!!! I gave up diet cokes about 6 months now. I drink teas, with limited sugar also water with lemon and club soda with lime. The citris alone builds the immune system! I notice that when I injest sugary sweets or carbs, I hurt more than usual. Also I discovered that too much magnesium causes an aching sensation in me.
What's happening is your body is attacting itself. The immune system is compromised. It can be a simple as food allergies.

Hey, do you remember me from another site?

Hi Fluffy (and others). Sorry I've not been posting. Will be writing why here, soon...

Yes I do, tho I can't remember your name from over there, sorry! (dreadful CFS memory...)

I agree that in serious CFS sufferers the immune system is in trouble, sometimes serious trouble!

From our long experience we would not think that CFS problems can be as simple as food allergies - or any/all allergies for that matter. How we both WISH that by sorting this matter out we could become well!! - but the totality of all the problems CFS sufferers cop goes MUCH deeper than that, and sadly covers a much broader range of problem areas.

However, it's incredibly exciting that you are finding answers to your problems! Wow! - even if you still have bouts and symptoms. Sure pray that you'll continue to improve.

Blessings!

Good morning, Bondman, AmericanAngel! Good to see you both!

I was worried about Bondman. He has a tendency to overdo it, then pay for it later. Take it easy, Bondman!

How is Nettie?
I dont have any experience with CFS except what Bondman has shared about it, but I will add you to my prayer list, AmericanAngel, if that is alright with you.

- IMPORTANT! -

Sorry guys, but I have to take a break here... Which is very upsetting cos I basically haven't even got started: little time on the thread, even less posting, and now needing to take time off. *not happy*

The problem has been and remains the months and months I've been working on our computer system. Then Beloved got extremely ill, and I had a bad collapse that I just can't get out of!! It's all been too much for my sick body...

I don't know why the Lord got me to start The Inner Room when He did, but these days I never query His leading whether I understand it or not. I will be working totally on the computer situation, selling bits, replacing bits, and getting us back to a properly reliable computer system. We expect this to take a fair deal of time given the state of my health - some days I get nothing done at all!

MY SUGGESTION

1. I do NOT want to go off CFS, but must for a time. However, YOU CAN STILL PM ME while I'm off.

2. Meantime, PLEASE DON'T POST HERE AT ALL okay! DO MAKE SURE you are Subscribed to the Thread though.Cos that way you'll KNOW if I write something - as you'll get an EMAIL to say so! Like if the Lord tells me to do a special post or Message - or if we need special PRAYER then you'll be notified from the Thread. If I don't write, you'll know I'm still bogged down in computers...

3. Then when I return you'll also know - just make sure you're subscribed! (I'll also write this on Fluffy's Thread).

4. Fluffy's Coffee House is still going strong and I'd love to see you go there for fellowship, prayer, friendship, care, support and love!! Daily FELLOWSHIP is an opportunity most Christians simply do not get! Please DON'T take if for granted, and get slack about it. In other words, LOVE ONE ANOTHER - and show God that you mean this!!

Hope I won't be tooo long away! Please pray for our health, and computers to not take months to get done. Thankyou!

I shall miss you guys a real, real lot!!!!

Peace and blessings!

CORRESPONDENCE (1)

When someone writes to me, for quite some time I've thought of sharing with everyone the things I say back to them. Cos his/her problem is almost certainly gonna be someone else's problem too! And while I'm "not here" ;) - I've already written the reply, so no extra work to just pop it here as well!

Here's the first one (names and places may have been changed to protect the guilt... err, innocent! *hehehe*)

Thanks for writing, sweetie! And expressing how much you care about us. THANKYOU!!

I don't call all the stuff we and you and others are experiencing 'nonsense', even though I sure understand why you called it that! Cos IF satan really is messing in our lives when he shouldn't be, AND we're not managing to close him down - then I'd certainly call THAT 'nonsense' (or maybe an even stronger word!!) :D

But other than that, what's happening in our lives IS WHAT GOD WANTS! Let me see if I can explain. Would you say that Paul the Apostle was likely the greatest Christian who ever lived? I would. And here's what HE says about hardships:

2 Corinthians Ch 12
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

He takes PLEASURE in all those HARDSHIPS!!! Is he KIDDING?? NO, he's not. He takes pleasure in them - FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! That's the key!!

And notice how he handles the hardships: "For when I am weak, then I am strong," he says. But what does that mean, for goodness sake? It's really quite simple: when I try to be strong, I will fail every time. However, when I truly and honestly admit to God (this is not easy to do) that: "LORD, I CAN'T DO THIS!!!" then I'm saying that I am weak. I'm confessing my weakness - and stopping trying to succeed in life on my own - and THEN, but not BEFORE then, God can help us! So... in allowing myself to be WEAK, God will give me STRENGTH! Do you get it? (Please ask if it's not clear enough, no problems.)

Here's another passage written by Paul - deliberately placed there by God to make absolutely CERTAIN that we 'get' that He will not just ALLOW hard times for those who love Him, but He will ENSURE that we experience exactly those we need, in order that we may grow to be like Jesus!!!!! - wow, I just love that!!...

2 Corinthians Ch 6
4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses,
5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;
6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,
7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;
9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;
10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

There are nearly 40 things set down there! I guess that if we don't get it after THAT, then maybe we never will! Hardships are not only part of life, but especially are they part of God making us the people He saw that we could be, even before He created the worlds! Isn't that simply awesome!!

And here's the solution, the secret, to all of this: what we need to do is change our ATTITUDE to hardships!! Instead of seeing them as bad and to be avoided at all costs, rather for us to accept them AS FROM HIS LOVING HANDS. Working towards making this major attitudinal change can begin a life-revolution for you! Start doing this NOW, and in time you can learn to even REVEL in hardships as I now can and do. Why/how can I do this? - hey, THAT'S GOD!!!

Lots of love to you!

SCRIPTURE (1)

Romans Ch 8
29 And those whom He foreknew - those who He knew and loved beforehand - He also destined from the beginning (foreordained) to be molded into the image of His Son, that He might become the first-born among many brethren.

God knew and loved us WAY before everything we know about. That's gotta be a WOW!! And moreso, His PLAN for me and you from the very beginning, i.e., our DESTINY, was for us to become nothing LESS than like unto HIS SON, the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is not OUR plan - this is HIS PLAN! This is what GOD worked out that HE was going to do. And here's the wonderful and amazing bit: He is! - His plan for you: it's happening in you RIGHT NOW!!!

You can believe it!!
Blessings,

BM and his lady are back?!

Well what can I say, Rebekah? I just DON'T seem to be able to "shut-up" do I!!! *sad case, really...* :);)

And anyone who wishes to post (anything at all) - what the heck-a-mundo, go for it! That's what threads are for, right!!

Yay!

Bondman and His Lady are back! I'm glad your feeling better! (are ya?)

Good post, by the way!
clap.gif

No actually... Both still quite ill. I badly need a haircut but am always too crook when my Monday carer is here and could take me to the hairdresser. I may eventually disappear into a complete mass of hair!

My Sweetie is mostly struggling quite badly. My spirit is still fine thanks to the Lord - just can't seem to get out of this rotten collapse. :( Much still to be done with computers but I'm doing better working on them and still staying in touch with my friends here at the same time (bit of a juggling act...)

This may sound a bit strange but the Australian Open Tennis is on here and I'm actually getting to watch some matches! I think the relaxation of that is helping - but of course it finishes on Sunday and that's that for another year...

its good that BM u can relax and watch the matches! i like watching tennis as well...

i am feeling really down... these days havent been easy.. its like i cant enjoy food... my appetite is rather poor .. sleeping wise im doing fine... the meds help me to sleep....

It's Patty BTW

Hey Patty, big APOLOGIES for having to just 'leave' this post. Our health really has been playing havoc with our lives. Yes, I think I've got you focused now, no probs. Lovely to meet up with you again here! And I really trust things are doing reasonably okay for you.

Wow MASSIVE match where #5 Sharapova knocked out #1 Justine Henin this afternoon in straight sets - the 2nd set going at 6:0. Incredible! - and just great to watch.

Exactly like us, you don't have many easy days, hon, we know that. I know you keep a close eye on your food intake, so please make sure you are getting enough of the essentials so you don't go down physically. Hector, you have problems enough!

We love you sweetie, so look after yourself as best you can, hey!

SCRIPTURE (2)

1 Corinthians Ch 4
20 For the kingdom of God consists of and is based on, not talk, but power, that is, moral power and excellence of soul.

There's a common saying today that talk is cheap. That's just one of the things Paul is saying to the church folks at Corinth in this powerful verse. It's so easy-peasy to SAY that I am a Christian man or woman, and very sadly great numbers around the world say this very thing. But at Judgement Day such with find that in fooling themselves and others they end up, not dwelling with the God of Love for eternity, but instead in the punishment of the wicked.

When the Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God would come, He answered, "The kingdom of God is within you (in your hearts)." Luke Ch 17:21b. Who put the kingdom there? God the Holy Spirit Himself by great and powerful activity within us - else without a single doubt you and I would still be in our sins!

So it's not really to do with what we say or claim per se, but rather WHO WE ARE IN GOD. HE has to have wrought in us that mighty miracle of transferring us from the state of sin and death ACROSS TO and INTO the state of His glorious light always within us. And if you want to know for certain that this has truly taken place in your life then who you are in God should be - WILL be - showing out in DEEDS and in LIVING that show forth that we are really HIS!

May it be so for us all!

- BM with his Beloved
