LOOK FORWARD TO FELLOWSHIP WITH YOU

Hello Ianish! Greetings and welcome to CFS. I only joined about a month or so ago, but I very much appreciate the respectful atmosphere that abides on this site. So, you are a Bible student? Are you a full time student at a college or seminary, or are you studying online or on your own? Many years ago I signed up for a distance education that offered a simple 2 year diploma in Bible studies, but I quickly realized that I wasn't ready for the amount of devotion and time it required. I remember the first mandatory course was , "The Nature of God". I think that at the time my walk with the Lord wasn't in a place where I wasn't ready to grasp what was being taught. As a result of my own feeble attempt, however, I've always admired those who formally study the Bible and who answer this calling.

My uncle by marriage is a priest, who, after serving in the military his entire secular career and raising a family of three, decided to pursue a calling in the church. It is through him that I became aware of the tremendous amount of study that is required to achieve the priesthood - a master's degree at University and then seminary school after that. Oddly enough, two of the priests/reverends where I attend church are also ex-military, and, like my uncle, they too worked on national security issues in their home countries, much of it Cold War related. Hmm, some kind of pattern here perhaps?

Sorry, I do go on. I am very much looking forward to learning more about your studies. Again, welcome Ianish.

Blessings ... Egraine
