Here are a couple of soups that are sure to help you lose weight.


In Shanghai, China, you can have Deer Placenta Soup that will help you in bed, your kidneys, skin and vitality. I am starting to see a trend here. The soup is made from mushrooms, flowers, black chicken (must be where the black testicles come from) and deer tendon in a broth. While the soup actually sounds good, the placenta is elastic making it chewy when eating it. If you do not know exactly what a placenta is, here is the definition to make it even more appetizing. The sac-shaped organ that attaches the embryo or fetus to the uterus during pregnancy in most mammals. Blood flows between mother and fetus through the placenta, supplying oxygen and nutrients to the fetus and carrying away fetal waste products. The placenta is expelled after birth.

This next soup would not be so bad if they would at least take the fuzzy fur off the bat. In the islands of Palau, this soup is again a delicacy in town. Although I am starting to think many of these “delicacies” came from unknowing tourists willing to try anything. The island has two types of bats, the insect eating and the large fruit bats. The latter are cooked in coconut milk, ginger, spices and boiled for several hours. At some restaurants, the customer is able to choose his or her bat before cooking it alive in boiling water. Many people who have tried the soup stated it is delicious, although having a furry rodent like head staring at you can be unsettling.

Mmmm you had me at placenta. I'll be heading to the local whole foods store to see if I can find a discount.
 
Kale for breakfast w/ avocado oil! I had some coffee too. Many websites say not to take creatine with coffee, but it none say how long to wait. Hmmm.

Is soup okay for weight loss? My friend says stay away from it because it has lots of sodium and sodium will make the body retain water.

Prayer is the place to start and continue through this endeavor. Weight loss is not complicated until you look for short cuts. The biggest obstacle is you and when you commit to it is easy. There are two variables that exist with weight loss unless there are other underlying health issues. The first being intake of food and the types of food you intake. The second being exercise. Your weight will remain the same if these two variables remain the same. Should you eat less or lower calorie food and maintain the same exercise your weight will decrease. Should you exercise more and maintain the same intake of food your weight will decrease. Should you do both exercise more and eat less/ more healthy food you will lose weight faster.
Do not set yourself up for failure; make small changes in the way you live. Do not bring things into your house you should not eat. If you want ice cream go out and eat some do not bring it home. Let your exercise begin with more activity whether it be walking or climbing stairs. If you already do these things do more of them. You will find success in making alterations to your life style, failure usually comes when the changes you make are very drastic and you will not to maintain them. Losing weight is the goal but living a life that will not let it come back is what is most important.

Wait!....you can get oil out of an avocado?

Everything boils down to metabolism. Don't starve yourself. Eat many light meals and push yourself away from the table when you have had enough. I use to finish things on my plate when I didn't like the food and wasn't hungry any longer. I toss it now.

Cooking with coconut oil and avocado oil is healthy for you :)
 
Healthy? Bleck....(teasing). I like a good salad every now and then but it has to have good dressing..like Italian or Blu cheese - and warm bread with butter melting on it. And no avocadas thanks. I'm wondering how cocanut oil can be healthy tho it sounds interesting - what do you use it on?

Ha! It's okay. :p :p :p

You use it instead of vegetable and canola oil. I made chicken stir fry the other day with it. It tasted normal haha. It's just a healthier oil to use when you cook hot meals. You just use it like you would with vegetable/canola oil.

I love coconut oil. It's healthy in a lot of different ways: For food and for your body. I hear people use in their hair. I use it to remove my makeup before I go to bed. It's really good for your skin as well. :)
 
I have kale in my fridge back at in my apartment, but not sure what to use it for.

And where did you get Avocado Oil? I need to get it soon! I'm running out of coconut oil.
You can do a lot with kale. Sometimes I put it in my salsa instead of cilantro, and you can't even taste the kale in it. You could also put it in salads, an omelet, shakes, sauté it in the avocado oil that can be found at Costco and whole foods, soups, rissoto, etc.

Yeah and the great thing about it is you can cook with it at a higher temp compared to olive oil, meaning you can fry healthy
