I understand what you are saying but I was speaking of Dan 2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

OK, got cha.

Seems to me that this stone, as a heavy rock, tumbling down from the mountain, brakes the image in pieces, which it could not be said any other did.

The picture then is of Christ as a stone that grinds to powder those it falls on. He is the precious foundation and chief corner-stone of his church for ever.

He is also a growing stone, even to a mountain, meant therefore will fill the earth.

I have wondered if the mountain and it's growth might be an indication of the church age?

Time for Chapter 3?

Dan 3:1
Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
Dan 3:2
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Dan 3:3
Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Dan 3:4
Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
Dan 3:5
That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
Dan 3:6
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
Dan 3:7
Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Dan 3:8
Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
Dan 3:9
They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
Dan 3:10
Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
Dan 3:11
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
Dan 3:12
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Dan 3:13
Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
Dan 3:14
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
Dan 3:15
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Dan 3:16
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
Dan 3:17
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
Dan 3:18
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Dan 3:19
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
Dan 3:20
And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
Dan 3:21
Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Dan 3:22
Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Dan 3:23
And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Dan 3:24
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
Dan 3:25
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Dan 3:26
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
Dan 3:27
And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
Dan 3:28
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Dan 3:29
Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
Dan 3:30
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

Should we have defined the Chaldeans before this? What does scripture have to say about them. They are separated from astrologers, soothsayers, etal. Isaiah seems to tell us they are the descendants of the Assyrian - Nimrod of the many names who built the tower of Babel. Nimrod means the rebellious one in Hebrew. Grandson of Ham, whose bloodline is cursed. Is this important to know? It seems to me the Chaldeans are Babylonians. What follows is a word search for Chaldeans.

Job_1:17
While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
Isa_47:5
Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
Isa_48:14
All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
Isa_48:20
Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
Jer_21:4
Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.
Jer_21:9
He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.
Jer_22:25
And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Jer_24:5
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
Jer_25:12
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.

Welcome Paul - so you think Daniel, having all his faculties, chose to abstain? It seems to me that somewhere in scripture (OT) it says you could not worship/go into the tabernacle if you didn't have all your parts? And does anyone know why they just ate vegetables?
The request to eat vegetables included a broad category of food. Young agrees with Driver that this did not limit the diet to peas and beans but to food that grows out of the ground, i.e., “the sown things.”33 Miller suggests the word would include “not only vegetables but fruits, grains, and bread that is made from grains.”34 What they ate was better for them, Not the Kings meat offered to Idols.

Chaldeans
Chalde'ans. It appears that the Chaldeans, (Kaldai or Kaldi), were, in the earliest times, merely one out of many Cushite tribes inhabiting the great alluvial plain known, afterwards, as Chaldea or Babylonia. Their special seat was probably that southern portion of the country which is found to have, so late, retained the name of Chaldea.
In process of time, as the Kaldi grew in power, their name gradually prevailed over those of the other tribes inhabiting the country; and, by the era of the Jewish captivity, it had begun to be used, generally, for all the inhabitants of Babylonia.
It appears that, while both in Assyria and in later Babylonia, the Shemitic type of speech prevailed for civil purposes, the ancient Cushite dialect was retained, as a learned language for scientific and religious literature. This is no doubt the "learning" and the "tongue" to which reference is made in the book of Daniel, Dan_1:4.
The Chaldeans were really the learned class; they were priests, magicians or astronomers, and in the last of the three capacities, they probably effected discoveries of great importance. In later times, they seem to have degenerated into mere fortune-tellers.

Just a note. Rev Steven Eubanks, 58 years in HIS service, He is still working on me! I love Bible study, The end times are more important now than ever we need to KNOW Daniel and Revelation.

OK I am behind a little I will try to keep up .

Daniel was a eunich
It is probable that the term “eunuchs” refers to important servants of the king, such as Potiphar (Gen. 37:36), who was married. It is not stated that the Jewish youths were made actual eunuchs, as Josephus assumes.11 Isaiah had predicted this years before (Isa. 39:7), and Young supports the broader meaning of eunuch by the Targum rendering of the Isaiah passage that uses the word nobles for eunuchs.12 However, because the word saris means both “court officer” and “castrate,” scholars are divided on the question of whether both meanings are intended. Montgomery states, “It is not necessary to draw the conclusion that the youths were made eunuchs, as [Josephus] hints: ‘he made some of them eunuchs.’”13 Charles writes in commenting on the description in Daniel 1:4, “without blemish”: “The perfection here asserted is physical, as in Lev. 21:17. Such perfection could not belong to eunuchs.”14 Ultimately the choice is left to the interpreter, although, as indicated above, many favor the thought of “court officer.”

Welcome @Steven Eubanks to CFS and welcome to our study of Daniel!! I don't know what to think about eunichs and Daniel. It is prophesized that children would be taken by Babylon and some made eunichs (as previously mentioned). At the least, Daniel was of elite/noble/royal? bloodlines but whether he was separated from his actual parts or not - there is no indication that he married or had children. I thought, also? it says that men missing parts (arm, hand, finger, toe/whatever) couldn't go into the Temple/Sanctuary? This would seem a negative to Daniel being an actual eunich.

Regarding the Chaldeans - I have pretty much found the same as you posted (http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/4213-chaldea ). I think what bothers me is "they" all seem to be saying Jerome and Daniel used the word as a "misnomer". They also seem to claim in some links, like the first - that Abraham, coming from Ur -city of Chaldes throws Abraham, Issac and Jacob as not "really" historical figure as they say the Chaldeans don't show up until 800 BC. Isaiah says that they come from the bloodlines/tribes of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel and if so - they predate to the time, a few generations after the flood. Maybe it is the result of the mix up of languages which led to the many names of Nimrod, as well different names for the people that were scattered.

Anyways, I only just posted Chapt. 3. Put any comments in you want to look at up til as discussion is welcome too.

I love talking about God and learning. :):):)

In speaking of stones/rocks (total aside) I was reminded of David killing Goliath (of Gath) with a stone to the forehead. He took Goliath's head. Did he bury it in Jerusalem...at Golgatha - the place of the skull? Ironic if Goliath's head, as seed of Satan, was buried beneath Christ's feet at the cross.

I have never consider that.........but that would really be appropriate wouldn't it????

Welcome Steven!

It is a real blessing to see the resources that you posted to validate your comment. You could not find anyone better than those two!!!

May I add here that Isaiah prophesies to Hezekiah in Isaiah 39:7.......
"And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."

Note that there is no record of their wives or children that I know of. It was common in that day to castrate members of a royal family so as to prevent any future family reprisals.

Chaldeans don't show up until 800 BC.
As a People with Government, Yes although the dated are not that exact. As it appears that the Chaldeans, (Kaldai or Kaldi), were, in the earliest times, merely one out of many Cushite tribes inhabiting the great alluvial plain known, afterwards, as Chaldea or Babylonia, Abraham cane from Ur a tribal city BEFORE it was a country.

My head was still in a link and I posted Jerome instead of Jeremiah. (post #92).

I agree with your post, Steven. Because scripture is always right :) And I didn't know there was any doubt that Abraham was a real figure. And I think it is important that Chaldeans come from the people of Babel. In the 8 kings predicted, Nimrod is the first, Hitler has widely been considered the 7th. And perhaps, we may consider these Chaldean's in Neb's court, as a symbol of the "spirit of the antichrist".

Here again is Bill Taylor's take on Chapter 3:

Daniel 3
Dan 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, the height of which was sixty cubits and its width six cubits; he set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
Dan 3:2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent word to assemble the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates and all the rulers of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Dan 3:3 Then the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates and all the rulers of the provinces were assembled for the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Dan 3:4 Then the herald loudly proclaimed: "To you the command is given, O peoples, nations and men of every language,
Dan 3:5 that at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, bagpipe and all kinds of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up.
Dan 3:6 "But whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire."
Dan 3:7 Therefore at that time, when all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, bagpipe and all kinds of music, all the peoples, nations and men of every language fell down and worshiped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Nebuchadnezzar has committed the ungodly sin that is common to this very day, he has set up a false god of his own invention. A cubit is the distance of about 18 inches or the distance from the Elbow to the Tip of the Extended Middle Finger. This make the statue about 9 foot wide and about 90 foot high by my calculation. Any follower of God will find their-selves in serious trouble.
The life application here is to be careful of what and whom you worship. When I purchased my first new car I did everything I could for that car. I kept the interior and the exterior clean and polished. I dressed the tire with Tire Black and replaced them long before they were worn out. I worshiped my car. It wasn't 90 foot tall and it wasn't layered with Gold but most of our gods, today, aren't.
Dan 3:8 For this reason at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and brought charges against the Jews.
Dan 3:9 They responded and said to Nebuchadnezzar the king: "O king, live forever!
Dan 3:10 "You, O king, have made a decree that every man who hears the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery, and bagpipe and all kinds of music, is to fall down and worship the golden image.
Dan 3:11 "But whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire.
Dan 3:12 "There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the administration of the province of Babylon, namely Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. These men, O king, have disregarded you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up."
Hatred of the Jewish People and of the true Christian Followers of God has always prevailed and today the nation known world wide as “The Christian Nation,” the US and the nation of Israel are scheduled for extinction. And here, we find the Chaldeans working a plan of hatred to remove three of the very men, responsible for the very air in their lungs and still they hated these, awful, Honest Jews. It is possible, because of their positions in Government, that they helped write this law and planned this from the beginning.
Now, this is really easy to apply to our lives but most do not wish to learn this lesson and are continually amazed when persecuted. This trouble will even come from folks calling themselves Christian. In one of my jobs as a driver I had the knife of a Baptist Sunday School Teacher in my back, over and over, for better than 9 years. I was not taken to relieve the company of supplies and according to him caused him to lose a good deal of money when we would co-drive a run.
He stabbed all he could with the lies and I prayed for him every day. In the end of it he took a stance that backed him into a corner and he was fired for it. But I'll give some strong advice here, never pray for God to bless your enemy because if the LORD tires of the lack of response, the coals of fire God pours over him will break your heart.

Dan 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in rage and anger gave orders to bring Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego; then these men were brought before the king.
Dan 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar responded and said to them, "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up?
Dan 3:15 "Now if you are ready, at the moment you hear the sound of the horn, flute, lyre, trigon, psaltery and bagpipe and all kinds of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, very well. But if you do not worship, you will immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire; and what god is there who can deliver you out of my hands?"
This is the life application where we learn who the sheep and who the goats in the Church are. Just like these young Jewish men, if we live until the Rapture, we in the US will experience the same persecution of Christians found in China, all the Arab nations, India and many other nations of the world. If you are in the Church to be safe, forget it. When the Anti-Christ is revealed, just after or about the same time as the Rapture, we will have run through the mill, attempting to move us away from the One God and into Satan's Camp.
Dan 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter.
Dan 3:17 "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
Dan 3:18 "But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."
There are many thoughts on why Nebuchadnezzar was so enraged but what I see is that the King is about to lose, in his thoughts, ¾ of the honest and wise men in his government. These young believers were fully aware of their Saviour and they were refusing to worship any other gods, not even the king's personal invention
Dan 3:19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with wrath, and his facial expression was altered toward Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. He answered by giving orders to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.
Dan 3:20 He commanded certain valiant warriors who were in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego in order to cast them into the furnace of blazing fire.
Dan 3:21 Then these men were tied up in their trousers, their coats, their caps and their other clothes, and were cast into the midst of the furnace of blazing fire.
Dan 3:22 For this reason, because the king's command was urgent and the furnace had been made extremely hot, the flame of the fire slew those men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego.
Dan 3:23 But these three men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, fell into the midst of the furnace of blazing fire still tied up.
Dan 3:24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astounded and stood up in haste; he said to his high officials, "Was it not three men we cast bound into the midst of the fire?" They replied to the king, "Certainly, O king."
Dan 3:25 He said, "Look! I see four men loosed and walking about in the midst of the fire without harm, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods!"
Now you can see why I think that Nebuchadnezzar was more mad at the idea of killing these men than at their violation of the law he had proclaimed. He heated the furnace so as to kill them fast and he, carefully, watched over them. He has lost, at least, three of his best fighters and now 4 men are walking around in the furnace. I see the Saviour, Jesus, walking with and rescuing them in and from the fire. And our life lesson here is to be very careful as we look upon and rationalize the working of God.
Nebuchadnezzar was almost correct and yet, as far as Heaven is from Hell, wrong. During a recent Hurricane two trees were felled at my house by the storm and yet, the one between my house and the shop, hit neither building. With about 18 foot between the two and a storage shed about 25 foot from the tree at the end of the clear space sits a new storage shed and neither building was struck by the tree, about seventy foot tall. The wind broke the tree in half and hung the top of the tree on a branch with the tip top of the tree about two foot from the ground. A miracle? I believe so!

Dan 3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the furnace of blazing fire; he responded and said, "Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, come out, you servants of the Most High God, and come here!" Then Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego came out of the midst of the fire.
Dan 3:27 The satraps, the prefects, the governors and the king's high officials gathered around and saw in regard to these men that the fire had no effect on the bodies of these men nor was the hair of their head singed, nor were their trousers damaged, nor had the smell of fire even come upon them.
Dan 3:28 Nebuchadnezzar responded and said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who put their trust in Him, violating the king's command, and yielded up their bodies so as not to serve or worship any god except their own God.
Dan 3:29 "Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation or tongue that speaks anything offensive against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego shall be torn limb from limb and their houses reduced to a rubbish heap, inasmuch as there is no other god who is able to deliver in this way."
Dan 3:30 Then the king caused Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego to prosper in the province of Babylon.
Even Nebuchadnezzar must admit that the God who had given Daniel the knowledge of his dream had protected Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego when even the King's most potent and powerful warriors had expired as they carried these men in to the fire. The most delicate part of man, his hair, had not been affected by the fire and they were untouched, except, maybe, for the bindings on their arms and legs.
Life lesson? There is nothing that can over power our Saviour and that being true, we must tie the Old Testament, the Bible Jesus taught from, directly to the New Testament. A few, not many, have had a problem with my view of the Testaments because as I read the scriptures I find Jesus, Paul and the others referencing the Old Testament making the New Testament a Life Application Commentary of the Bible the first Saints and Jesus taught from.
Once I had submitted my will to the will of God, as directed by the indwelling Holy Spirit I began to see this and my entire view of God began to expand and to grow in leaps and bounds. Not bad for a man with an Eighth Grade Education and a GED. If you will submit your life to the will of God you will not be just saved, you will be the Bride of Christ. (See Matt 22:1-14) I see no good reason to arrive in Heaven, just, to be a guest at the wedding feast.
The reference of the Matthew passage here requires more input, so, here it is. Jesus is speaking in this passage and teaches us that this parable is a Word Picture of Heaven. We know that anyone in the First Rapture is saved but what I see here is that not everyone that is saved is a member of the Bride of Christ. Be well grounded here if you ever choose to teach this because you will be seen as stepping on the toes of many of those in attendance. It is a very common belief that anyone going to Heaven is a member of the Bride. I find this to be true because of the lack of Matt 22:1-14 not being taught and we must remember the, single, most important rule of understanding scripture, “No scripture, nor any group of scripture can ever be fully understood without the light of all other scripture.

God Bless.

I miss Bill!!!!!

I miss Bill!!!!!

Yeah, me too. And I find his insights on applying these verses have value.

In Chapt 3. - the first thing he does (Neb) is build a gold statue after all the lip service he paid to how great Daniel's God was - that He could do what no one else could do. You gotta figure Neb thinks if he makes the statue of his dream all gold, that his empire will last forever for his dynasty. He took the wrong message out of that dream. Speculation is that the King did this while Daniel was away. It is clear that Neb would associate the interpetation to just Daniel. I agree with Bill that he probably didn't realize he would be condemning the other Jewish youths by his actions. And the 3 youths answer the King with the love and understanding of true people of God - We will only worship our God. He may deliver us OR He may not but the answer will always be the same. No to worshipping objects/false idols - very dangerous thing to follow true in those days. It's becoming that these days too.

"Look! I see four men loosed and walking about in the midst of the fire without harm, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods!"

I said this before but Please do not miss this beautiful Truth!
Have you ever considered the reward of their faith. There three young men GOT TO MEET THE SAVIOR, no harm from fire but what a blessing He was there for them!!!

Here is a bit of History trivia to remember, You never know how Loud 3 little words will ring over time.

In early 1940 the British and their allies sent a force of some 350,000 men into the low countries of Europe to stem the tide of German advance into France, Belgium and Holland. Caught in a brilliant pincer movement by the invading German forces the beleaguered British Expeditionary Force was pushed back to the beaches of the small Belgian town of Dunkirk. To everyone’s surprise the Germans halted their advance to regroup. As England and the world waited for what appeared to be the sure and certain annihilation of 350,000 men a three word message was transmitted from the besieged army at Dunkirk. It read simply, "But if not." The British people understood the biblical import of the cryptic message. It was a reference to the Old Testament book of Daniel, where Daniel and his friends chose death rather than worship an image of the pagan king, "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up" (Daniel 3:17-18). The British Expeditionary Army, surrounded, cutoff and on the brink of destruction was declaring to Britain and to the world that even in apparent defeat they were, in fact, victorious. The message, more eloquent than a sermon delivered in St. Paul’s Cathedral, galvanized the British people. In a matter of hours thousands of boats of every description headed across the dangerous waters of the English Channel and, at the risk of their own lives from enemy fire, began the evacuation of the heroic but beleaguered army in what historians now refer to as "the miracle of Dunkirk."
