Did I Get Saved Yet?

No he taught the 10 commandments. There are PLENTY of scriptures to support that. Are you saying you don't agree with the 10 commandments?
But Sweet Pea said a 22nd commandment and also if you Google Jesus's commandments, you'll find out that Jesus said 38 commandments, and that Jesus's commandments are not the 10 commandments. And you said you watched divergent and captain America, and those contain a lot of sins. Didn't you realize demons would come from watching that content?

I didn't say that. I haven't seen those movies.

Matthew 19:17-19 Jesus is talking about the 10 commandments.

17“Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.”

18“Which ones?” the man asked. And Jesus replied: “‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely.

19Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Those are some of the 10 commandments. Also on the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) he preaches a modified version of some of those commandments. For example hate is murder, and lust is adultery.

I was talking to Ceile De.

Polly, referring to an earlier post, not one is perfect. We strive to improve and be better in every way but we are still human and make mistakes often. I'm not saying we have to be fanatics because we love Jesus. But i think part of this christian forum is speaking and sharing our love for Him.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Polly we weren't saved so we could continue in our old ways. The letters written by Paul speak of being born again of the spirit, and not of flesh. We, as Christians, are supposed to work hard and conquer sin by the power of the Holy Spirit. Why? Because we love God and Jesus, and wish to keep their commandments.

Now it should be obvious to you that no one here is perfect, and won't ever be until Christ's coming. But that doesn't mean give up, because the Holy Spirit still convicts us when we sin.

But Christ's law is not to be followed or kept like the Israelites, because they kept the law out of fear of God, but we keep the law because we love our father.

The law and commandments are our way of worshiping Jesus as our Lord and savior from sin and death.

We love you Polly, and we just want you to love God. You can break free from any sin that has you down, because Jesus conquered all at the cross.

When we are judged by Christ we will not be judged by our sins, because there is no condemnation. But we will be judged by our good works to recieve a greater reward.

2 Corinthians 5:10
10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

And even if you don't have the good works you will be saved, the good works are our worship and goal, because by them we receive a greater reward in heaven.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15
11 For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

Yeah but watching and reading Harry Potter is so not a sin, and don't say it is because I know it is not a sin... I know a lot of born again Christians who watch and read Harry Potter.

I'm not sure one draw up a complete list of what works or types of fiction are suitable for Christians in general. I used to watch horror films until one day I was troubled by a very strong thought questioning what I was doing watching them. I've not watched any horror films since. Personally, I wouldn't even watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer as vampires are one thing I decided to steer clear of. On the other hand, there was a recent thread here where others seems to enjoy that program...

That said, I think one can still question the effect something has on someone and I don't believe your Serverus Snape fantasies are good. Personally, I see "him" as binding you but you seem to see yourself as loving "him".

Well, why do I have to stop being attracted to him? Why can't I even have a crush on him? It's doesn't matter if he is fictional, and I am anyway waiting for God to give me a man who is like and looks like Severus... I don't want some guy who is not like Severus no matter how much I would need a guy who is not like Severus, and ofcourse God would give me the type of man what I am attracted to, He doesn't think like for example "Okay, this redhead will be the best for Pauline, Imma send this redhead to Pauline even though she doesn't like this redhead". Lol. And this is an example only, I have nothing against redheads, but I want and need a Severus-like man.

I have a question for you Polly, and yes or no will be fine. Do you still have your tulpa of him and still do things with your tulpa? And don't say we can't talk about it. This will give an indication if you just want someone who looks like him.

I broke up with my tulpa because God doesn't want me to have a tulpa and he wasn't the real same Severus after all... It was me who deluded the tulpa into having backstories... If he was the real Severus, he would automatically have the backstories, but it was me who programmed the tulpa into having false backstories. But the tulpa is still here but I am looking for a way to make him start living in my thoughts only, and not as a tulpa, or I can also fuse with Severus... But I have to know that what can I do so Severus and I can fuse or that Severus can start living in my thoughts only... Destroying the tulpa is bad because the tulpa has feelings...

Right, if I decide to love Severus romantically, I'll end up in hell because hell would be "my decision" also, if that's what you mean, right?

I don't actually think that. My own feeling is that Christ will see you though but you are making things more difficult for Him with Severus.

I see. Well, I decided to put God above all, and now he is the most important for me... But this doesn't mean that I will stop having romantic feelings for Severus at all... I just want to be attracted to Severus romantically and this is not bondage, this is true love... For example, it's a very bad thing if a man suddenly stops loving his wife because that would lead to cheating... So it's good to not let go anyone. I don't want to get tired of Severus... If I get tired of Severus, I will have to remove all the pictures, videos, and posters of him and save the action figure as a memory in a memory box... I don't want this to happen, so I will always love Severus romantically.

I believe you are heading down the right path Polly. Praise God you are putting Him first. As you grow in your relationship with God the Holy Spirit will work in your life. I will keep you in my prayers.

Okay, but God lets me watch and read Harry Potter.
