Israel and US Drawing Up Plans to Live With Nuclear Iran
Britain's Sunday Telegraph reports that the United States and Israel are drawing up plans for adjusting to the reality of an Iran with nuclear weapons.

The paper claims that intelligence officials are admitting that the Iranians have done "a much better job of hiding and dispersing its nuclear facilities than previously assessed," making a military strike all the more difficult, if not impossible.

It quotes Pentagon adviser Dan Goure as saying that, "Military strikes might only set the program back a couple of years, but the current thinking is that it is just not worth the risks." The Telegraph also reports that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has ordered his government to draw up plans "for dealing with an Iran that has built atomic weapons."

If this report is true, it threatens dangerous consequence. Pray that the United States and Israel leaders will find the suggestion of a nuclear-equipped Iran offensive and not acceptable. Pray that the Lord will encourage wisdom and boldness in those who need to oppose such a possibility.
