Did you all here about the satellite heading towards earth and it wil not break up as it enters.

Earlier today on the news I head that they were planning to shoot it down tonight....but now they are saying that it probably won't be possible tonight.

The rocket that was used from the U.S. Navy cruiser was an adaptaion of the anti-balistic missile technology already in place. My source mentioned that all the U.S. Navy engineers had to do was to slightly modify the guidance software to respond to a different 'vehicle' profile dimension and speed. The video of the impact did verify that the hydrazine fuel tank was, in fact, destroyed ( along with all the super-sectret spy stuff that Bill Clinton didn't sell to the Chinese in 1996... LOL. )
If the tank had not been destroyed, there is a chance that it would have survived atmospheric re-entry in one piece and hydrazine is some really nasty stuff to land in a populated area... Good shooting United States Navy!! Hydrazine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
