Hey everyone, you can call me Muse. I've been sixteen for two months and few days now, and I'm going to be a junior in high school this fall.
I was just saved by our Lord in Heaven yesterday at my church service. The Holy Spirit came into our church like a tornado off the EF-scale, and I know of at least one other person who was brought into God's loving arms and I am so glad for him, as well. =] The strange thing was...this was a "State of the Church" sermon, of which all pastors in the Nazarene church have to make each year. It's supposed to be...you know...boring? But at the end, we celebrated by having cardboard testimonials. This was when the Holy Spirit really started to affect our church. More than 15-20 people came out onto the stage, having "Before" words on the front, and then they would flip the sign over to "After." On one I remember someone having the front say something like, "The Army sent me to Iraq," and on the back it said, "God brought me back home." The ones that got to me were about depression, since I have suffered from it, even to the point two and half years ago where I hit rock bottom, formulating how to commit suicide. Actually, it was when my parents were gone to their sunday school's Christmas party that I went looking for my dad's gun. But thank God that he had sold it just months before! Basically, through my wonderful teachers that year, I was able to go to counseling and got speech therapy for my stuttering problem. Now, after two years of therapy, I have gone from a severe stutter to basically a mild one! PRAISE GOD! Yeah, I may always have it, but it's not that horrible and I can get by with it. And with how God works, there must be a reason I have it, even though I don't know about it yet. So...basically that's a short version of my testimony, but that's all that's really needed. Glad to be among others like me, so that I can continue growing in the Lord and be able to repel Satan, since I know he likes to toy with Christians and our beliefs. But with God, anything is possible! He will defeat Satan! |

Welcome to CFS Muse! God very rarely works things the way we expect and a revival or an awakening never happens where or how most are looking for.

Thanks, all of you. =] Everyone after the service was shocked and suprised in a good way at how things had gone.
Oh, and I've started reading the Bible, specifically in the Book of John, since my father and pastor have said that that is a good place for new Christians to start out with. It's a wonderful read and I can't get enough of it! |

Welcome, Muse, to the Site and to the family of God. It's always great to hear of someone who comes to the Lord--especially at a young age and they have (hopefully) most of their life ahead of them to live for and grow in the Lord.
Because of an abusive dad, I grew up with a severe stutter, but God has taken it away. It only crops up if I get nervous or try to talk too fast. I had a rough childhood and teen years because of it, but the grace of God brought me through it. I am a soloist and song leader in my church. That was something I could do even when I stuttered, because a person who stutters won't stutter when they sing. It has something to do with the vibrations from singing. So I know what it's like to live with a stutter, and I know how cruel teens can be about something like that. One thing I had to do was learn to talk slower and think of what I want to say before I try to say it. |

I have Cerebral Palsy, and can't even feed myself. Despite my disability God uses me. I sing solos, work the computer during the services, and am an ordained deacon. God loves to use people that other people have written off.
Remember, God doesn't want your ability, He wants your availability. Welcome to CFS and to God's family. Feel free to pm me anytime.
