- Had a horrible life. I have a speech impediment and I've been called a "retard" pretty much for my whole life. I've been a victim of sexual and physical abuse. I have self-mutilated and have scars all over my arms and legs. I wear hoodies and jeans all the time. Even in 90-degree weather.
But something happened. I turned my back on God at age 12. I even have the journal entry the day I turned my back on Jesus. I was very angry at him, but to find out, he was there all along. Jesus finally got a hold of me in 2006. I got into sin, though, and even though I didn't backslid, I was going more away from God. But in September 2009, I finally devoted my life to Jesus. He has shown me many things. It's not about me, it's about Him. And sometimes I forget about that. Something I can be very selfish. But God still forgives and his mercies are renewed. Recently, I believe that he is calling me into the ministry. One night, a girl told me that she sees me preaching to teen girls. And I do that when my heart is drawn to them. It's going to be one amazing journey and I am excited to see what God has in store for me!
