I was born 6th of 8th children by a couple in a small farming village of Oshiegbe. My father was a Catholic before his overbearing father forced him to backslide. I was raised in a predominantly Catholic environment by my mother after my father died while I was 2.
Eventually, I succeeded in getting a college education (catholic seminary) through a local church sponsorship. But, I could not go on to become a catholic priest since I found celibacy a hard nut to crack.
During my days as a seminarian, I was a Legionary and so, had opportunities of doing door-to-door evangelism. I also was drafted severally to rural villages for a yearly six-week 'apostolic work' which involved teaching doctrines.
For some time now, I have had reasons to question my christian faith deeply.
