I am a teacher and a servant. I have taught all ages of children in Bible school, and I've taught English at both the high school and university level. Now that I'm "retired," I tutor children who need help after school. I consider myself a servant because, if i can, I just feel called to help when I see a need. I am also a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. I have been married for 42 years, and
I am blessed to have seen my son grow into a fine, Christian man, who is leading his family in a way that makes me confident we will all be together in eternity. My church family is important to me as well. My husband and I worship with a non-denominational, mission-oriented church that is growing by leaps and bounds right now. It's an exciting time for us all!
I love The Lord, and He has blessed me with a wide variety of interests and occupations that keep my hands busy and my life full. I enjoy reading, working in the yard, walking/jogging and working out, and spending time with family and friends. I love to sing and to laugh! And I love learning anything new, even if it's as nonsensical as how to find the square root of a number without a calculator. I've never even read a label that wasn't interesting in some way....
- Thanks to a wonderful Christian mother, I cannot remember a time when I did not know about Jesus. She read to me from the Bible and encouraged me to write the Word on my heart. My testimony is that God is faithful to His promise that if you train a child up in the way he should go, he will not depart from that way when he is old. I am that child of God, and although I have taken a few detours from the Way in my lifetime, the Word has always been faithful to convict me and bring me back. Now, I don't think I could breathe without it.
SignatureWe have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf.... Hebrews 6: 19-20a
