I have my back surgery at 11:30 in the morning. Not looking too forward to not being able to eat or drink all morning long. It will be nice to have a release from some of this back pain though. Hopefully the pain from the surgery won't be too intense.
I will try to get back on as soon as I feel up to it.
I pray that my family endures this well. I hate not being able to help out around the place. My boys are being real troopers though. If you can't tell by now I am pretty proud

After listening to the piece from Logan that brother Larry had posted in reminded me of something that happened like that in my own family. A couple of years ago my wife was sitting with our oldest son going through some kids paper or magazine that they were reading. So last Thursday night we were up most of the night with our 3 year old. He got sick and was throwing up all night. By Saturday he was like a new person. Then Saturday night we were up almost all night with our 6 year old who caught some sort of cold. With him it is bad because he has asthma so when he gets one of these things it usually goes straight to his chest. Yesterday he couldn't hardly catch his breath all day. I would give him his "puffer" (albuterol) every chance I could.

When I was growing up I was footloose and fancy free. My best friend and I would throw some clothes in the pickup Friday night and take off for a rodeo 150 miles away.
Even when my wife and I got married I was used to traveling for work and I would be gone for a week at a time. It was just something we were accustomed to.
Now I have 2 little heartbreakers that mean the absolute world to me and I can't stand to be gone at all. I think it actually makes me physically ill when I am away

Well this is my first blog ever.
Although my boys really enjoyed dressing up last night and going out in search of free candy, I am not sure that aftermath is worth it. Have you ever noticed that if you don't get your children to bed at their normal time they can become very cranky little bears. Oh my, let's just say this morning was interesting.
