As Christians we definitely need fellow Christians to share our thoughts and concerns with. I have oftentimes felt guilt for doing this feeling that I should only reach out to the Lord for comfort. I agree with one of the previous posters though the Lord knew that we would find comfort in our own kind as well and used Christians to be his servants. He honors the sincerity of Christian friendship.

A true friend will not feel burdened if you bring your broken heart to them, they should feel honored that you trust them with it. There are those that don't want to be troubled with other people's problems, the feel they have enough of their own, or any myriad of other excuses. But a real friend will help you through your worst troubles and feel stronger for the experience.

Funny, Brother Ban~
I feel that way AS a friend; I want to be there for whoever needs to pour their heart out, yet I feel so burdensome pouring my heart out to a friend.

Violet,
I am sorry to hear you are having troubles. Knowing my trying times, you have been part of many on this site who have helped me greatly, and I really appreciate it.
When my trials first started, I was in the same state as you: Noone I could turn to to let out my pain. Sure, I was able to talk to the Heavenly Father and that does give me comfort. But, we humans do need someone we can be with physicallly, who can be there with us and give us kind words. All my close friends have moved away and I have(had noone I could really confide in. One name kept popping in my mind though and at first I didn't know why. I didn't really know the man, I had just casually run into him at church a few years ago and exchanged formalities. After a few days of urging by my thoughts, I finally looked him up and called. He remembered me and I told him I was having troubles and needed to talk and told him why I called him. He responded by saying that God had sent me to him because we probably had something in common through my troubles. Anyway, he told me he could meet me a few hours later that afternoon and I said that was fine. Well, 15 minutes later, he was at my work because he FELT I needed him right then! How right he was!
Sorry for the long, rambling post but what I am getting at is that God will provide what you need. That day I thought I was going to lose my mind and this man, who is now a good friend, took time out of his busy day to come talk and pray with me though we didn't know each other very well. I now can see that God did this to keep me from doing something stupid.

God is so awesome! This story makes me so happy!!!
You know there is an individual who has talked with me online.
This person is Godly, kind, understanding and helpful. I have so much appreciation. And though I feel I could trust this person with my life, I cannot seem to bring myself to share what is really wrong.
I still feel like I need someone who is there just for me. No time limits, no constraints. You know, someone who will let you pour your entire heart out and stay up all night with you just to listen and comfort~
Is there such a person? Charlie, you are very lucky!
I pray that God will send such a person my way.
And I appreciate all of you who have offered to listen to me.
Maybe I just cannot put my heartache into words yet.
I need some prompting after keeping things shut within for so long!
