Not to sound hardcore or anything, but your ex is taking you to the cleaner, bro.

I'm here for you too.

It's time for you to toughen up.

You're right Texan......the only times I hear from her now(most of the time anyway) are when she needs something. She goes to him when she wants fun and pleasure, and calls me when she needs help.......................
My compassionate heart for her is slowly but surely hardening.

I am very sorry for your marriage, your children, your broken heart, but now you have to move forward and God will bless you
in ways you cannot imagine.

When it seems as though it is the end of our world we must hold on and trust that our heavenly Father still has plans for our life- He is the God who brings new life and truly He is the One who can give us beauty for ashes- hold fast to the Lord Charlie!

.....A little update for any interested. I told you I haven't been thinking right. The lawyer couldn't consult me with this latest development because I haven't actually hired her yet....duh! I have talked to them a couple of times with no problem, but they can't give advice of this nature without actually being "hired". Anyway, I now have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday morning......*sigh* I hate not having all my mental faculties about me. I think I need about 6 months at a monastery to myself to get my head back on straight.

Well, look at the bright side..... as of Tuesday you will officially have yourself a lawyer/ legal representation.

Lawyers can be sneaky. Find out in advance about her fees. Don't be afraid to ask question on Tuesday. Some lawyers might charge by the hour. Some might charge more of a flat fee for the divorce with other fees for every little additional thing. Etc. No matter what, any lawyer (especially a good one) is going to cost a lot. But at least if you ask upfront then you won't be blindsided when you get the bill. There are all kinds of fees that are not even associated with the lawyer side of things-- filing fees with the courts, fees if the papers need served, etc. Getting a divorce is never cheap, but it sounds like it will be a whole lot cheaper than ruining your credit on your wife's failing business. (Laugh a little, Charlie, that was meant as a joke to cheer you up. ) I have found that sometimes you have to try and find what little humor you can in these things in order to keep your sanity.

She has already mentioned that cost and fees will be a topic we discuss. And your right about being able to laugh a little, it certainly helps ease the anxiety. Luckily I do have a few good friends who have a sense of humor and keep me on my toes. You guys have been a blessing to me, to be able to discuss this in a Christian setting. I don't like talking about it too much at my church because it can spread like wildfire, and the details can often get distorted. I don't want something like that getting back to my wife or family....
