Even amonst demoninations that are straying from the Word I find God loving people. And each church within such a denomination may even be quite different. But if you are unhappy with that one try another denomination. There are many to choose from and by God's grace you will find the one you fit into. But you will never know of course unless you try.
If I may there are a few more things I would like to say on the subject. The longer you stay away from church the harder it is to go. Churchis not always about receiving. God has sent me places I would rather not go to reach and help people in genuine need. Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. The body is like a chain- only as strong as it's weakest links and God can use each and everyone of us to build up, holding togeather, strengthening and edifying- sometimes a kind word in season can make all the difference. Sometimes simply reaching out in love to the unlovely and rejected is all we need do to see a life transformed for the glory of God. Selah. |

You ask..."Should I". But, honestly, if you look at what you consider morally right and Holy to God, I think you already know the answer. You, like me (most of the time), are simply having a hard time accepting that answer in your heart. And I won't kid you, it's hard...REALLY hard. The question really is, what are you willing to do about it? How important is your spiritual growth to you? Remember, it's not about what you SHOULD do about it, or how important God SHOULD be to you. But, where do you really want to draw that line?

My advice, along with all the fantastic advice you have already recieved would be an alternative to moving in with her.
You said she already pays for food and transport etc. Why not check with some of the churches in your area for places that she could stay as a border, or someone who may have a small appartment in their house where she could afford to stay. I know that I could walk into any church in my area and find a great place to live in no time. It would then be a Christian atmospher too and it would be a safe place for this young Christian to start to grow. She is working and making money. You could help our here with some finances. If it doesn't work out you have not commited to things you will regret. All the best. It is up to you to be strong and water this seed that you planted and teach her the ways of God. You are a way ahead of the pack if she really loves and respects you. Then she will trust you and follow you. Lead her well. |

Hi,
It's a good thing you asked for help because in the multitude of counsel, there is safety. firstly, l'd you to know God has definite plans for your life and so please, don't be in a hurry. Go check if it's your interest that matters most in the relationship or God's.I know you are having a hard time releasing her from your mind but there's a write up l know that will help you. It's in the current edition of The Word for Today by Bob Gass. Read the portion for sat.oct 4. Also, the current edition of Every day With Jesus by Selwyn Hughes will help as long as you are ready to open up to God for help because there are times we feel we on the right path but not until God shows us we are not . You can pray for the girl to really get converted but not for your sake but for God's glory. Remember, we are to do all things to his glory by seeking first his kingdom. God bless you.
