Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Jesus used many analagies to make His point clear. A branch (you and me) only has life as long as it is plugged into the vine. While it remains in the vine it is nourished, it beginsd to grow, it flowers and bears fruit. Take it away from the vine and it withers and dies. Yes we need the very life of God flowing in us at all times to grow and fulfill our purposes. The great part is this- we have the honor of being the part of the vine that bears the fruit. As God moves in our lives, as He moves in the lives of others thru us eternal fruit is born for His kingdom! What a priviledge!
Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
The Holy Spirit of God dwells in our spirit and He causes the Word of God to flow out of us touching and chnaging everything around us. Thi is quite effortless and comes out literally as a fount of living water- selah
