I think God may have told me to come here

Hi everyone! I was just writing in my journal about how to cope with some of the frustrations I am having since I've become saved (October 12). So yes, I am a new Christian and as I was writing that, "Try a Christian online forum" came to my head. I don't know if that was God or not, (that's one of the frustrations I've been trying to deal with.) but here I am! I'm 19 and eager to learn about God. So, I just wanted to say hi!:)

AMY,
WELCOME!!!
Seriously, that is exactly how I found this forum~
I was praying for 3 days and then came here...

I'm so glad I did too!!!

It is a pleasure to meet you Amy! I look forward to getting to know you!:D

I thank you all for your friendly and welcoming responses!! it's very encouraging:)

by the way, I hope I didn't throw anybody off with my original post. I didn't mean that Christianity itself was frustrating, just the understanding of it all and fighting the negative satan inspired thoughts is frustrating. he left me alone before I was saved, now he won't stop bothering me and I'm not quite sure how to overcome it. seems the closer I get to God the more my mind goes crazy with negativity.

anyway, this is probably an issue for another part of the forum so I'll stop here.:)

hi amy,and yes i know how you feel.you will get through it.good is good and the alternative is everything else.thats why it,s a narrow road.just think and be yourself never be controlled.

Welcome, Penny!
This is my first chance to say that cause I'm a newbie also. :israel: 'Cept I don't know where to get all those cool icons they all have. I am also new in Christ - because of this forum. I have found that the best way to overcome is just to keep feeding that thirst for knowledge by reading, reading, reading. The Holy Bible will be your best armor for any warfare that comes your way. The more I read, the more understanding I get. It's like a magic Book and keeps drawing me to sit down with it. Read it as often as you can. And let your heart drink it in and sooth your soul.

Also, surrounding yourself with friends like on this forum is about the best thing to do. And ask lotsa' questions. I keep 'um hopping with questions. And I have lots of them. I mostly pm, but I'm getting braver and have started some threads already. See ya 'round! :groupray:
