Is immersion baptism required for slavation?

Do you guys mean to tell me that, even though I have wholly and undeniably accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, because I haven't been baptized in water I am not saved? In other words, I am on my way to hell? Sorry, I love and respect you guys, but I think you're wrong! Besides, can I please have some concrete scriptural evidence that this is true, because if I remember correctly, the Bible says that "by grace through faith are ye saved, lest no man should boast!":)

Laura:)

God's sinless SON Jesus took immersion baptism and fulfilled the Righteousness how much we.

Matthew
3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee,
and comest thou to me?
3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus
it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the
water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the
Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in
whom I am well pleased.

Laura, I love you and would never judge your salvation.
We each have to answer to God for ourselves.
I am not saying I am right and everyone else is wrong~
I am stating what I have studied and grown to believe.
I think it is always good for us to discuss these things.
I have learned through our discussions and I love that even if we don't understand or agree, we all have more to think on and study!

True, but really, if people at the last minute of their lives (like the malefactor) (especially on the battlefield) accept Yahshua as Lord and Saviour, what happens to them? Are they not saved?

Other than that, I prefer having water baptized since I'm living right now. Will I place it before Yahshua? No! All I need is to find a Christian that I can be baptized by water.

YHWH more cares about the heart and soul is at.

I love these scriptures!

Luke
7:29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God,
being baptized with the baptism of John.
7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against
themselves, being not baptized of him.

I have imported this comment/ question from the other thread as I just posted it a little while ago and I believ it deserves an answer. Yes I do believe we shgould be baptised.

In truth not one was baptised before coming to salvation.
Can you give me your opinion on this Violet. If a person confesses, repents, gives their life and is born again . If that person trips on the way to the baptismal hits their head and dies before getting wet where would he go?
My salvation was complete when Jesus said it is finished He paid my price in full. When I open my heart to Him I am born again and this new ( eternal life ) comes into my heart.
None who are not saved should bother getting baptised because all they will do is get wet. Jesus said you must be born again. After that new birth we gladly follow in steps of obediance.

If you don't agree I hope you can still love me as a brother. As a young man in Christ I used to argue endlessly over doctrines thinking every point a battle to be won at all cost. Later I found this was not God's heart but indeed was my flesh trying to be spiritual- this can never truly be accomplished. Jesus said we must above all else Love our heavenly Father and love each other. I pray God's peace on your home and heart, your brother Larry.

Personally, and respectfully, I would not go to war without being baptized in the first place. There ARE soldiers being baptised our in the field; I've seen the videos.

You can't place water baptism before Jesus as He is the one who commanded it~

YHWH more cares about the heart and soul is at.
He cares that the heart and soul are in full submission to His word!

Of course it does. :)
Yes I do believe we shgould be baptised.

But doesn't the Bible say to repent, be baptized and then you will receive salvation?
Can you give me your opinion on this Violet. If a person confesses, repents, gives their life and is born again . If that person trips on the way to the baptismal hits their head and dies before getting wet where would he go?
I believe if the person you speak of was fully intending baptisn, yet died on the way, that yes, he would go to heaven.
Why?

Because God knows the future and knew this person's true intent.
My salvation was complete when Jesus said it is finished He paid my price in full. When I open my heart to Him I am born again and this new ( eternal life ) comes into my heart.

Of course I love you, unconditionally.

We all have our beliefs and what if we fail to speak them?
Will God hold us responsible for withholding what we believe is the Truth?

My opinion is that no one would repent if they did not believe at that point that Christ died for their sins.
That is the belief in His Grace, right there.

We are then told to be baptized as Jesus was
which was full immersion, because he came straightway out of the water.

The spirit of God then fell upon Him which I believe is The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit as some call it.
That to me is our salvation.

I am not sure if you answered my ? Does the man who tripped and died on the way to the water have salvation or is he damned?

I believe I was saved when I called on Christ and He entered my heart- I never noticed anything special in the water experience because Christ had already come to live in me.I of course did it anyway because I wanted to be obediant ( like any good son would).
If a person heres about Jesus and does not have any info on baptism can they get saved? I have know such a person.
I personally think that it is the grace fo God that saves me and not my ability to comply . There are passages that say baptised and saved but there are others that do not. I am just curious about your opinion on thise- does one negate the other? Just some food for thought as I also believe believers should be baptised.

Act 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

So in the end I guess it is a matter of symantics. I have met baptised people who were no more saved than my keyboard. I have met people who were yet to be baptised who had their lives entirely transformed by Jesus Christ. I believe you must be saved or accept the mercy of Christ to be baptised. You believe you must be baptised to accept. the mercy of Christ .

What if he had not yet heard about baptism? I have met such a person.

Act 2:21 And2532 it shall come to pass,2071that whosoever3956, 3739, 302 shall call on1941 the3588 name3686 of the Lord2962 shall be saved.4982

B.L.: You believe you must be baptised to accept. the mercy of Christ .

No, because what I was saying is that if we did not accept the fact that Christ gave His life for us in the first place then we would not find it in our hearts to repent, would we?
