Reconciling Love and Justice

Reconciling Love and Justice

1 John 4:7-10
7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Skeptics ask, “How can God be loving and full of wrath at the same time?†Many believers avoid replying because they wonder the same thing. To answer, we must understand two things: God’s love and the way His love interacts with divine justice.

Love is often considered an emotion, but for God, it’s a commitment that began before the first man ever drew breath ( Ephesians 1:4 ). Scripture tells us that God is love ( 1 John 4:8 ); therefore, His love cannot be restricted to certain people who practice a “perfect†faith. He loves both sinner and saint, regardless of their actions.

Unfortunately, people latch onto one characteristic of God and use it to question other aspects of His nature. Justice and unconditional love do not contradict each other as some suggest. True justice will be meted out with love, and love cannot be genuine without justice. In a similar way, human suffering exists under the umbrella of divine care — believers don’t like God’s divine discipline, but it is needed to return us to the right path ( Hebrews 12:5-6 ).

God’s justice includes righteous anger; wrath is His holy determination to punish sin. Christ’s death — the one acceptable sacrifice that can pay sin’s penalty — has been rejected by the unfaithful. As a result, unbelievers are subject to divine anger. The Lord still loves those experiencing His forceful wrath, but His holiness demands sin’s punishment.

Believers live under grace, not wrath. God’s unconditional love followed us through our wicked days until we learned to love in return.

Just because there is lack of considerations there is sin in man, to love is considerate also. People of Old Testament sin refused to be a part of considerations that are true, such people not deserve to be in heaven no matter what may happen to them on earth. Think not how difficult justice is but how immense is the grace is that you have, for grace is offering By God that is not necessary but it is gift by God's original son.

Before Christ Jesus, we know of sacrificial offerings in the most holy of places. Even then God Almighty has been thunderous without a withhold by adversity that anything that met against God would have had it's wages for harming good character.. In speedy love God the Mysterious Almighty, has created a plot to ensure we may have the best of God Himself by making refrain from covering the sins that ignore (ignorant) the true ways according to comforting realities being justified understandable ways by giving mankind favor by the precious Lamb of God, raised and complete in Conquering is Christ Jesus. 'Forgive them father they know not what they do.'

There is no reason to hold justice guilty. The justice of God is uphold-ed by living verse, true and edifying deed is of understanding to agree and love such guiltless reality. Thing is, what must be is always up-to respectable deed, that at best there is no reason to be incredulous for a law that is a peace maker when people do practice the advisable.. Free will is also a gift of God the Father, for our options to choose our personal so we have capacity to Independence of identity through pure free will, that it is a unquestionable gift for all mankind. The Law of God serves good purpose because only order can maintain, and peaceful assurance are to those who behave well in agreement to the Most High God.

None deserve heaven but all who partake of God's grace may enter.

All who are not partakers of God's grace are judged by the law. No man can or will be justified by his own works or merits.
As a good friend once told me" when I get to heavens gate, wheater I am the greatest Apostle or the youngest babe in Christ I will have but one leg to stand on and that the shed blood of Jesus Christ my Lord".

Thanks, Rev_Rick, for this thread. I have often wanted to do a study on God's wrath. You have stated the main points concisely and elegantly, good sir.:smile_anim:
