How are you serving God right now?

How are you serving God today?

Mumble mumble mumble.... Yeah - I thought so....

But wait a minute... What if our overall conception of what "Ministry" really means is lacking? What if we aren't taking the fullness of scripture and God's dominion into account?

If God really is God over the entire universe - isn't He ALSO God of your workplace - company rules notwithstanding.

What if - since our God rules over the entire universe - including work, school, and government - our service to Him also is to encompass a similarly broad reach?

What if helping a Brother in Christ get a good day job was just as valid of a Ministry as leading Sunday school?

Why is paying your bills on time and treating your employees well specifically required in The Torah and the prophets?

Is there far more to God's call upon us than we really understand?

is there far more to God's call upon us than we really understand?

For most I would say Yes there is.
Far to many folks are moved by goose bumps and feelings and think God said do this or that and end up going at it in their strength to only tire out.

If we truly began to seek God in His Ways then simply walking in Love alone would change things big time.

A person can do more for the kingdom in their every day life then they could by quiting their job and going to some far off place to change the world.

Don't get me wrong for there are those called to do these things but just because you see a need or opportunity does Not make it God's call for you.

It's amazing how much one will find out they did not know once they honestly begin to seek His Face and learn His ways.

Yup there is - God's Kingdom is always expanding! However, one must think that God is looking down at the earth seeking open vessels to carry out his callings (every calling is different as we all know).

Also, we can never fathom (understand) how God operates most of the time...

8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
- Isaiah 55:8-9

This is cool that you brought this up.
God is not saying we Can Not but rather saying we are thinking wrongly.
The whole idea of renewing the mind is to learn how to think like God thinks. That means His word is big in our hearts and that's what comes out in our thinking which in return comes out in our actions and reactions.

Our natural minds cannot fully perceive what God has prepared for the future of those of us who love Him, unless we are connected and have become one with Him. We do not have the knowledge He has unless we are one with Him. Being that He is sooo very much smarter than the smartest person!
Now we can ask Him to reveal to us things day by day, and we can read the scriptures and get to know how to live His ways so that we may show Him that we love Him, and just plain get to know HIM, to fellowship with Him. Those are the benefits of being one with Him.

1Co 2:10 — 1Co 2:14
But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.

He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of God. Luke 8:10a
