Proverbs 14:15

Proverbs 14:15

(Proverbs 14:15, NKJV)

15 The simple believes every word,
But the prudent well considers his steps.

There are many opinions out in the world on every kind of issue. If we take each man's word at face value then we will be dearly misled. For there are many decievers out there who will try to lead us away from the Lord. When we hear anything, we must take into account the entirety of God's full and true Word, before we make convictions, take actions, or make judgments. God's Holy Word is the only thing we can be completely sure in, so it is wise to carefully examine each statement against the Word. To live our lives as true servants and disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, we must trust in HIM first and foremost! It is foolish to do otherwise!

Amen Azarias, God's Word is THE standard we are given and all we do should be based on it's truth.

So true Azarias. Thanks. We are told not to lean on our own understanding but in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths.

lead by the spirit is the best way to go. the closer we get to God the more we can here Him. It is a relationship. It is best to make sure that what some one says matches up with the word of God.

Amen,:cross::cross: Spiritlead.

Yes, we must seek the Lord for the true meaning of scriptures. He has promised to lead and guide us in the ways of all righteousness. He won't allow us to be fooled unless we allow it for it's not His Will that any should perish but all come to repentance. There's so many different belief's without His leading we wouldn't know what to believe.
The Word will always back itself up. Man-made doctrine is often pick and choose a verse here and there. When taken out of context one can make the bible sound many ways.
