Amen! The only thing I would add is that Jesus is already Lord (Acts 2:36). It's now a matter of living in acceptance of that, or rebelling (Luke 19:27).

Andrew,
I have been a Christian for 38 years. During that time I have battled one sin. Two years ago, I had victory for 35 days. I've tried a twelve step program on and off. I considered it my accountability group. I have many books by well-meaning authors that quote scripture. I have bookmarked your .pdf file. I'm not sure that I can save it with my browser. When it saves pages they are usually in HTML. Please pray for me!

Amen!

It's definitely not easy, the way is narrow indeed. May Jesus Christ give us the strength and the courage to follow Him.

Philippians 4:13
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
That is true but remember...........

1 Corinthians 10:23
23 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.

Yes, when we rely on the wisdom God gives, we will increasingly make good choices, and as we walk in intimacy with the Father, He will bless our decisions, and walk with us in and through them.

God will bless our decisions when they line up with His will. Just because we feel we made a Godly choice does not mean God will bless it.
Eample Proverbs 16:3 amp
Roll your works apon the Lord ( commit and trust them wholly to Him ; He will CAUSE YOUR THOUGHTS to become agreeable to His will,) and so Shall YOUR PLANS Be ESTABLISHED and SUCCEED.

You and I both know that way to many Christians think that God will Bless what ever they want to do and this is simply NOT TRUE.
God Bless You

In our daily lives we make many choices because we are free to, and we don't consult God on every little thing. He doesn't require it. When we live Spirit-led lives, we have His discerning power to make good decisions. God is on board, and He will make it right...even if it turns out our decisions were not the very best. That is the one thing He has taught me. Step out in faith, and in the confidence that only Jesus can give us, knowing that we take God along with us whatever we choose to do in any given situation.

In my thoughts many more people should consult God in every decision. Even the small ones. God wants for us to know that He desires to be apart of every detail of our lives, and with the small decisions also. That is how much we matter to Him.
If we include Him in all of the decisions that we make we will not have to much for Him to fix, because we did it His way in the beginning. God knows everything and if we inquire of Him in what to say and how to do things....things flow much more smoothly :) He can give us the best way and the results are successful the first time.

If one steps out in faith to do something, then i would think that they have heard from the Lord and have a specific direction as to which one is going. Its not just about us and our agendas and fitting God into those plans. There is a difference between His permissive will and His perfect will. And when we ask Him first, and get His direction then as we follow that direction it is His perfect will, if we choose to obey :)

Blessings

If i may ask......How much of the Bible do you renew your mind to daily with Scriptures that remind you that Jesus paid to set you free from that sin, and it has no power over you unless you allow it? Brother Penion Jesus has already set you free...you just need to remind your flesh and mind of that :) if it is ok, i will be praying also for you.

Blessings of grace and peace be yours in abundance

I believe that we should grow in Christ to the point where we don't have to consult with God on every single thing, because we are walking in the anointing. If something suddenly should befall us and we have no time to stop what we are doing and pray about it, we should be confident in God's leading, that it is always in operation, and that whatever we choose to do or say, God will bless it.

One stays prayed up...... One can speak Gods word at any time no matter the situation that springs up. God may be leading but we are not always following. Be careful with that thinking............

I am careful. I am saying that we ought to aspire to being mature in Christ, so that we do not have to seek His guidance on every single thing, but that as we have learned from Him His voice and have His wisdom and discerning power, we will make wise decisions off the cuff when necessary, and our Lord will see to it that things work out for our good.
