Words of doubt and unbelif

When we start speaking doubt and unbelief....in God's Word those are evil words. Words that are contrary to what The Bible says and contrary to His Character.

In Exodus 23:21....God told Moses and the people to not provoke the angel that was going to take them into the promise land. Now how would you think that we (or they) could provoke an angel? By speaking words of doubt and unbelief. Speaking words that do not line up with the Word of God. God told them to go in and possess the land...they spoke what they saw, there were giants in the land...so they looked like grashoppers in their own minds, and thus...spoke opposite of what God has said, and what happened? They wandered in the desert for 40 years till all those who spoke opposite of what God said died. Except Joshua and caleb. Joshua and Caleb took ahold of faith, and agreed with God, trusting Him that He would provide a way to defeat the enemies. And they at 80 years old fought in possessing the promise land. So which side are you on? God's or unbelief?

Gods side and learning to take control over your every word is a full time job for there is NO SUCH THING AS ..... Oh those are just words and they dont mean anything.
God Bless

Doubt is not the absence of faith. Doubt is the persuasion and deep belief in the evidence that is contrary to faith. Our problem isn't we don't have enough faith, our problem is our attention is on the evidence that proves it's not going to happen. When I have my attention on the evidence that says "I'm never going to get out of this," that's what doubt is. Faith is when I have my eyes on the evidence that says "I'm coming out of this!" This is how one becomes fully persuaded.

Faith is not blind. We need to gather evidence of things. The greatest misconception is "Just take it by faith - blindly". Isaiah says "Come let us reason together" which is what God wants to do and why we have 66 books in the scriptures written by 40 penmen over thousands of years. It's to prove God's work through His promises. When people say "take it by faith" they're saying "just take it without evidence." If God says we can reason (to prove, decide, judge, rebuke, reprove, correct, be right) about our salvation, we can reason about everything else - get the evidence. Faith is not blind. Faith is based on very specific evidence.

Yep Faith is not blind for it knows and see's where it is going - we as believers need to learn to get our eyes and minds and hearts to line up and see through and by Faith.

I agree doubt is not the absence of Faith - However dout is keeping your attention on the storm or negative which PLACES UNBELIEF as chief operator and not Faith. In any situation it boils down to who is going to answer the door - FAITH or DOUBT AND UNBELIEF.

Now then doubt is a mind set BUT it is when WE TAKE A THOUGHT - Saying doubt or speaking doubt that it really goes into affect and begins to work against us. I do not care if you are walking in the Spirit and seeing results every where you go - once you begin to speak out words of doubt or unbelief or anything contrary to His written word of God - they go to work coming against what you and your faith are believing for.

Little story as an example
During the worship service one sunday, suddenly Jesus apears on stage and begins to speak out. He says out of His love for them that everything they say for the next 30 days will come to pass. One ol boy jumps up and says - dont that just thrill you to death. Thud. Then we can all say here lies lester more - spoke up and hit the floor - no les no more.

Point is - words have power- they do not need us to believe in this - we can not get out of the fact that words govern but we can choose which words we are under or governed by.

The easy version. lol

In my thoughts and from what i understand, the understanding of the people who are saying "just take it by faith-blindly" needs to come up a notch. Faith is never blind. When we are directed by faith to do something, we should be able to see in the spirit at the very least the first step. As we are reading the promises of God, we are trusting in those promises...and those promises are the catylist that starts the vision of what God is preparing us to do.

I gree with you on the gathering of evidence, except in those cases where all you have to go on is what is spoken in the Word, and the peace of the vision that God is giving you. And yes i fully agree with the keeping our eyes on Jesus and the Word of God to keep ourselves stirred up in the "i'm coming out of this." Without total trust in God and His Written Word, there is nothing to keep our spirits fed, and built up. That is why the Word says in Proverbs 4:20-21 to keep the Word of God before your eyes, in your heart and mind....its the solution to the problems we have. And in Romans 10:8 and Deut. 30:14 it says the Word is very nigh thee, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

Blessings and good stuff you pointed out :)

Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupt (rotten, worthless, corrupting, putrefied G4550) communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Proverbs 18:20
A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

In both of these verses it is very clear (by reading the definitions of the words) that what Paul and David are talking about is words that come out of our mouths. And if we look in matthew 12:34b-35 it says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure (Word of God) of the heart, brings forth good things: and an evil (not just in deed, but in words and worries) man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil things.

James 1:26.....if anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue, but decieves his own heart, this ones religion is useless.

Ephesians 1:8-9.......wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence. Having made known unto us the mystery of His Will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself

Romans 4:20......He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief (unfaithfulness, faithless G570 Thayer Definition in the strong-lite); but was strong in faith giving glory to God.
