Searching the Scriptures for ( GOD'S WILL )

Please send me the scripture or scriptures on " believers " baptism .I have read every word in the scriptures, and do not remember the scripture " believers " baptism .
I am very dismayed at your belief.
I must not understand your post correctly !
What I hear in your post is ,we can obey God completely or just obey God partially.
My belief is that we must obey God completely ,there is no middle ground .
Believe , repent ,be baptized ,remain faithful to the end .
How do you remove the words remission "Acts 2:38 " and wash away "Acts 22:16 " .
Do you just ignore them to understand your belief.
Does God care how close we are ,or does He want us to do all of His will ?
From your post ,I do not know what God would want from me !

Yes we are to obey God, but disobedient believers are still saved. Behaviour doesn't save us.

How do you come up with "remission" and "washing away" as what the bible teaches us regarding our sins at salvation? I know how. You completely cut off the full verse, and take it out of context. Not only that, but you ONLY allow these two verses to say all there is about baptism, when there are many, many others that teach you a proper, balanced view. Ignoring the FULL VOLUME OF THE WORD to teach you is sloppy. You and your falsely begotten doctrine are dangerous to the Body of Christ

God’s love for us cannot be changed. Why? Because it is not based on anything we do. (Rom 8:38,39) We do not deserve God’s acceptance and love; it is a gift. I thought of God’s acceptance as something I could lose by my behavior. This is not logical, since I did not do anything to gain God’s acceptance in the first place. How can we lose something that we did not earn? God’s love and acceptance of us is constant and never changes. How do we come to know of this love? The Holy Spirit enters into us and whispers his love. (Rom 5:5) Flesh and blood, logic and reason, will never reveal God’s love to us. It is beyond our understanding; it must be revealed. How do we come to know such love? We must ask for it. We must pray that we will come to know and feel this love. God has promised that if we seek him with all of our heart, we will find him. (Jer 29:13) Nothing gives God more pleasure than filling his children with love and hearing them exclaim, “Abba, Daddy!” (Rom 8:14; Gal 4:6)

God wants your heart first; if He has your heart; He will have your obedience in free will. If Jesus tells you to 'do' something; you do it, or you don't. Some people need to grow in faith longer than others-quick obedience serves only to allow God to bless you more. We have had the baptism discussion a million times on this forum. I am not going to rehash that again and get in an argument again.

'Believer's baptism ' isn't a quote from a scripture; it is a concept of the theology of Christianity: Jesus said to do it; you either believe what the Bible says AND 'be ye doers of the Word' or you don't. It's that simple, don't over complicate it. Want to be blessed by God? Obey.

Salvation does not require baptism; but faith through grace. Frankly; why wouldn't you get baptized after getting saved-it should be an honor to identify with Christ if you truly believe; right?

My belief is that we must obey God completely ,there is no middle ground .

Wow!
With no middle ground, you obviously consider yourself a christian who always obeys God completely. How I wish I had your perfection!
The confidence you display in your complete obedience disallows the majority of us christians here, who like me are merely part way on the journey to perfection.
Oh woe is me, I am undone!
Thankfully, I have a personal advocate who speaks for me so that I don't have to depend on my own goodness. He knows my failures, and still loves me, whether I got baptised or not!

Romans 11 says that God will remove those who do not obey .
Romans 11 is an interesting chapter on Israel's disobedience and how this allowed the Gentiles to be grafted in.
The last part, Paul is amazed at how God uses this disobedience for purposes to show mercy.
29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
What a statement! For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

Amen

I am sure in your legalism you would like to believe that, but doesn't teach us that, thank God Almighty, our God of mercy and grace!

"This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another."
1 John 3:11

Loving another person like this is a surefire way to become more like Jesus. Move past the romance, the feeling of living on the edge, move past the delicious emotions, and nourish another person with real and lasting love.

Lord, I can see that this kind of love will wage unrelenting war against my self-centeredness. Help me to lose myself in loving You and in loving others. May I move past romance and begin laying my life down... in love.

Me too!

So, why are you at variance with the Body of Christ concerning baptism? Because this is what I can see through your posts.

Don't let the issue raised line you the fact that any child of God born again by the Spirit and Word of God should be also baptised.
Not for salvation sake but to fulfill righteuosness sake.

Sorry Gerald, but I got lost trying grasp what you are saying?
There seems to have crept in by default that a child of God should not be or need not be baptised.By the simple expedient of some mixing truth with error.
The need to be baptised but for the wrong reasons. In the denial of the error an impression could be got by some that it is not important to be baptised.

Still don't know why you are aiming that thought at me though. Whatever you might think, my original statement from post No86 is still totally true.
"Thankfully, I have a personal advocate who speaks for me so that I don't have to depend on my own goodness. He knows my failures, and still loves me, whether I got baptised or not!"
Or do you think otherwise?

FYI, my original comment was in regard to the nonsense idea that baptism was essential for salvation.

If you want to be perfectly made conformable to Christ you should get baptised.
You semi to be saying you don't need to be.
No you don't to be saved.
But that is not what baptism is about.

I agree sister. It is indeed sad to me that anyone would allow themselves to be led astray so far that they would think that there is more power in water than in the shed blood of God Himself!
