What do you think humans deserve?

I personally think that humans deserve absolutely nothing. No love, companionship, shelter, and of course, Jesus. And everything else. I believe that the only thing that humans deserve is death and hell. Not only do I truly believe this, it is a great way for me to appreciate Jesus more and it is a new perspective on the world. It might not be the best one, because one can get angry when they see all these ungrateful humans enjoying a life and using the things that their God made, without giving thanks to Him. Maybe that is an extreme view on things. What do you think that humans deserve, if anything?

Well, God loved those pesky humans, current company included, so much, that He gave His only begotten Son...
See where I'm going?
It is easy to say, humans deserve nothing good, and so often we look at the things people do, and see how that can be true.
Then I see how God loved me while I was one of those pesky humans who only deserve death and hell.
Yet, He loved me enough to make it matter, and has set me free and placed my feet on a higher place.
He still loves the sinner, and thus, so should we. Even if we cannot condone the things the sinner does.
Remember when the Jews exchanged Jesus for Barabbas? You and I, we are Barabbas.

The OP sounds really negative to me.
Sure we are sinners but deserving of outright death just for existing?
Sounds a bit extreme to me.

I mean, even if a person is not a Christian they can still do an awful lot of good things in the world. We explore space, cure diseases, help those in need, try to make the world a better place.

There are many very good people I know that do not follow a religion and although I would like to see them come to God, I certainly don't think they deserve death.

I think we need to differentiate between our value in the eyes of God and what we actually deserve as fallen humans. If our question is: what do we deserve as fallen humans? Then we all deserve death and hell because we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. On the other hand our value to God is so great that he took upon Himself our sins and died for us(in the form of Jesus)in order to save us from that same death and hell. That is why the the bible says we are saved by grace because we didn't deserve it. But that grace was given because He loved us.

Because of the incomprehensible, immeasurable and unfathomable love of God toward us, He thinks we deserve to be saved---recipients of His mercy and grace.

I am hoping that you are praying for these people, because if they never accept Christ as Lord....they will receive death, for their goodness cannot save them or bring them into the kingdom.
Blessings

Ya know....the garden of eden was created just for us. God created us to be loved by Himself and taken care of by Him. We were created just to fellowship with God and for God to show us His great mercy and love and grace. Here is what Ephesians 2:6-7 says......And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the Heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, In Order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

All humans have the breath of God instilled into their organic body, making them human beings.
In this way, they all deserve the Truth, so the spirit within can thrive and be given the chance to express itself.
For the Truth will aid the human to see the Truth, and trust it enough to let go of the fears that hold back the spirit's desire to express itself. To express praise to God for their chance to show what unconditional love is and looks like (witness) for all to see.

Yeah, that's the thing. God gave it to us, but we did not deserve it. Therefore, we should be very very grateful.

That is the complete opposite of what many people believe to be God, and that is sad, honestly. I try to explain God's love sometimes, but I can't, because it is just too much. The only thing I can say is that He loves us beyond human conception.

You are correct my brother. NO ONE can explain the "love" of God.

The love of God flows from HIS character not ours. It is not dependent on anything we have done or will do so it stands completely out of our understanding. The fact is that is you do nothing for God the rest of your life, He will not love you any less". That my brother is beyond human comprehension!!!!

If we got what we deserve we would all be in hell.

Rom. 3:23 says that...........
"All have sinned and come short of the approval of God".

Rom. 5:6 then says..........
'For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly".

Then verse 8......
"But God commendeth His LOVE toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".

Grace is then the Love of God in action in the Lord Jesus so that we as sinners do not get what we deserve. We then get what God has in store for us!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why people still reject God after they hear this. I believe that God has given all of us knowledge of Him, as it is said in Romans:
Romans 1:18-20 KJV
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; [19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. [20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

“deserve” : do something or show qualities worthy of…

I think it is more of difference in point of view…that is: where is the point...... to the view : )

Man (point) deserves from his Creator (view)… imo: His will, the will of his Creator....
or
The fallen man (point) deserves from his Creator (view)…. imo: the point of the OP
or
The fallen man (point) saved by his Creator deserves from his Creator…..imo: as what some post is mentioning..

with the examples you mentioned, I think the “point” of view is a bit difference….

Man (point) deserves from his fellowman (view)……
we acknowledge the achievement of one another to make our life easier, but most of all, I think, we deserves Love one another as the 2nd commandment says…

Getting saved is all about not receiving what we deserve.

Do not use our general unreservedness to justify some kind of "well, they are just getting what they deserve" attitude toward the travails of others, even when they are unkind to you.

Agape love is love based on the nature of the lover, not based on the attributes of the loved.

Reminds me of this song.. Which I have been hearing a lot..

Here's what I think you're saying; you can tell me if I'm right or wrong.

Since we're born entitled to nothing, we have no right to blame God when we experience pain or loss in this life, so we can be like Job when he said "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised" (Job 1:21). Instead of a sense of entitlement, we recognize that everything good we have, even every breath we take, is a gift from God. As Christians, we know that the best thing to do with those gifts is to keep on giving to those who have need, because His love compels us. Mat 10:8 "Freely you have received; freely give."

Yes, but a little more extreme and a little more condemning than this.

And I do not understand why either my little brother, but they still do!

Juk,

In God's eyes we are all evil and deserving of hell. So the fact we are alive this moment is a testament to God's grace, and even more so in Christ his son. Glory to God for his Grace!
