Demons love church. Where else would they find so many christians to entrap in one go.
From the perspective of the devil, many churches are like Hitler's concentration camps complete with the deceitful sign over the gates, "Arbeit macht frei." or "work makes you free". Similarly, in many cases, the notion that "church makes you free" can be a very long way from the truth when something other than Christ himself is on the throne.
Jesus accused the teachers of the law and the Pharisees, "you are on your father, the devil". These people were the "church" leaders of the day, taking the people into spiritual bondage.
Similarly, many church leaders today are of their father the devil, also taking people into bondage instead of freedom. 1Tim4v1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
Be sober, be vigilant, cos your adversary the devil is prowling about like a lion seeking whom he may devour.
1 peter 5:8
evil has no power of its own. It only has the ability to make a suggestion. As soon as we pay attention to it, we feed our energy towards it.What do you do or say to rebuke him? Do you ever annoint things like your house or the things in it, etc? Do you feel annointing things works for you?
...........
Ignore evil, to maintain ones own faith and Truth.
Instead of rebuking and anything else that gives attention to evil, I simply prefer to focus my love on the Love that loves me. No evil can stand it, and departs as far away as possible, or evil itself will become invalidated by its Truth.
Hello Francis Drake. If what you say is true, why didn't Jesus (perfect love incarnate) adopt that policy?
Everywhere he went, he brought great attention to evil and to demonic activity, he confronted it, rebuked it, then cast it out. Never once did he ignore evil.
Why did Jesus tell the disciples to cast demons out, rather than just ignore them.
Matt12v28
But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then has the Kingdom of God come upon you.
Given what Jesus says above, if our prayer is, "Thy Kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven," how can we ignore casting demons out?
