Where Did Everyone Get Their Pseudonyms From?

My name means "Help me!" representing my state of mind when I joined here. I was in a panic then but more settled now, because my husband and I had a long talk. Our G-d is so good!

So sweet Tez.

Sometimes marriage is not straightforward, but its the commitment to stick it thru whatever comes that makes it worth it

I love the faith of some of our historic English warriors like Drake and Nelson. Most people regard Drake just as a pirate, but he was a real man of God.
The following is a wonderful prayer of his that inspires me. Who wouldn't identify with this desire.

Disturb us Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly. To venture on wider seas. Where storms will show your mastery; Where, losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future, in strength, courage, hope and love. (SIR FRANCIS DRAKE 1577)

My original name on this site was target_hunter, which is the name I use on another kind of forum. I thought that if I had a discussion with others where we did not agree, the name could be misunderstood to mean that I was looking for arguments.

My newly chosen name is Siloam, after the pool in John 9 where the blind man washed his eyes in obedience to our Lord and thus had his sight restored. I chose it to remind myself that that man's reaction is instructive. He reported what he saw factually. When he was then asked what he thought of Jesus, he then gave his answer. We may have wished for more of a direct "he is the messiah" answer, but the formerly blind man kept his answer "he is a prophet", which was an accurate answering of that question.

I need to be equally ready to tell of my experiences with the Lord, and equally circumspect about adding or subtracting...

You mean this Calvin? LOL!

Yeah that's me, and sometimes

Fish Catcher Jim
The Blessing gave me this name and every one began to call me this or Cap. The Lord blessed me with a fishing guide service and He gave me the policy of, No Fish - No Pay. Never had a day where we did not catch fish.

If some one began talking about fishing my name came up and if my name came up they began talking about fishing. This lead me to understand He would teach me to be a fisher of men HOWEVER.....It was He who gave me the name Fish Catcher Jim and it was He who brought the men and not by my abilities or might but by His Blessing my Life with catching fish.

Because i am an introvert by nature, and like to hide, i got the nickname turtle. As the last few years have been used by God to change me...i have now become Cturtle or Christs turtle...because it is in Him that i rest, learning to allow Him to do the work in stead of my trying to earn it or accomplish it on my own. I also used to be constantly on the go. Now i am learning to be slow and deliberate, walking in God's ways, and will.

Gosh, I kinda just picked one out of the blue.

But most of my other usernames are related to nature:
Red _ lace wing( is the common name for a butter fly)

This lullaby ( the title of a Sarah Essen book I love dearly)

And I wish I one of these for this site, pancakes is kinda a thoughtless username lol

To me it's kind of fun...easy to remember, and spell

Calvin is pretty cute too. Kinda christian yet comical.
I just picture you with yellow spiky hair now and a tiger called Hobbes.
