WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

As for raising the dead, it is ot going to happen my sister and has not happened except where we see it in the Scriptures.
That is a lie. An untruth. Many Spirit-filled saints have raised the dead by the power of praying in the Holy Spirit - praying in tongues -
just as one reads in the New Testament.
NO it is you who has an impoverished and unspectacular spiritual life. Try believing in the power of God to do all things for the
good of those who love him. More so in Third World countries where the saints do not have access to ambulances, doctors
nor hospitals - they pray in tongues and call out to Jesus in simple childlike faith. And the dead are raised.
It is us in our rich Western societies that are so materially well-off(rich) but Oh so spiritually poor.

We see clearly that the TWELVE were given power/authority.
Such ignorance as to what is happening in the world today. Amazing wonderful Holy Spirit Revival on every continent...
Mark 16: 17-20
And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them,
and confirming the word with signs following.
Amen.

Them that believe - everybody that believes the full gospel of salvation; not some or none.
And when the disciples went out into the world there was certainly more than 12 of them. And when they preached the full gospel
to unbelievers Jesus confirmed his Word through signs and wonders, miracles and healings done through their faith and obedience.
And all of this is still happening today with true worshippers -
John 4: 23-24
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:
for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Waggels....are you aware that you are basing your whole thesis on Scriptures that have always been questioned. That my friend is a very dangerous position.

As always, please do not take my word on this but do a little study and homework. ...and when you do you will find what everyone else knows.

Although the vast majority of later Greek manuscripts contain Mark 16:9-20, the Gospel of Mark ends at verse 8 in two of the oldest and most respected manuscripts, the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus. As the oldest manuscripts are known to be the most accurate because there were fewer generations of copies from the original autographs (i.e., they are much closer in time to the originals), and the oldest manuscripts do not contain vv. 9-20, we can conclude that these verses were added later by scribes. The King James Version of the Bible, as well as the New King James, contains vv. 9-20 because the King James used medieval manuscripts as the basis of its translation. Since 1611, however, older and more accurate manuscripts have been discovered and they affirm that vv. 9-20 were not in the original Gospel of Mark.

In addition, the fourth-century church fathers Eusebius and Jerome noted that almost all Greek manuscripts available to them lacked vv. 9–20, although they doubtless knew those other endings existed. In the second century, Justin Martyr and Tatian knew about other endings. Irenaeus, also, in A.D. 150 to 200, must have known about this long ending because he quotes verse 19 from it. So, the early church fathers knew of the added verses, but even by the fourth century, Eusebius said the Greek manuscripts did not include these endings in the originals.

"I was going to do a book/article about Andrew Wommack and he was interested in the idea. I got a call from one of his representatives and I said, For years, Andrew has told these amazing stories and the idea that his son was raised from the dead -- that must have been front-page news and I want to get the documentation for that.
Well, the fellow admitted there IS NONE. There was no death certificate. Andrew's son had overdosed on drugs and the doctor pronounced him dead, put him in the hospital morgue and put a toe-tag on him.
The fellow on the phone said that the doctors wont be interviewed because they dont want to be portrayed as wrongly calling someone dead who wasnt dead in their eyes or having to admit someone was raised from the dead.
Overall, very sad and I wonder how many other miracles are really misunderstandings."

Why do you feel like it is acceptable to call me a liar????

Why do you feel like saying ..."NO it is you who has an impoverished and unspectacular spiritual life." is acceptable????

Are you so consumed with what you think that you have lost the ability to talk with other Christians in an acceptable manner?

Not everyone has the same understanding as you do and we that don't have just as much right to express our thinking as do you.

@Major and @Waggles You both suffer from an acute case of proud willfulness. Do you think Jesus was on the debate team in high school?

Proverbs 23:9 (KJV)
Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

If one of you was correct and the other incorrect, then who is right? What if both are wrong? What if both are right?

Brothers, where is the love? To whom was Jesus angry with, according to the scriptures? The pharisees... why? Because they were hard hearted. If someone doesn't agree with YOU then why keep going back and forth? Do you have some sense of false hope they'll actually have an epiphany and agree after X number of posts? I'm sure if you've read to this point, you think the other is a fool, but then what does that make you for continuing?

Proverbs 14:7 (KJV)
Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not [in him] the lips of knowledge.
Play nice or the bosses will ... well, you know (y)

You can't teach what one believes they already know.

Love ya! :D

That's nonsense. He was dead for 5 hours. Factnet has nothing on Andrew Wommack, a true man of God with an abundance of integrity.

I was "dead" for 24 years, and now I am alive! :) That is a miracle, at least to me.

Col 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

The reason we are not seeing more of these kinds of miracles today is because of a lack of faith of the hearers.
The "Word of God" needs "faith" for it to produce in the life's of those who need help.
Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, could do no miracles in his own home town because of "unbelief"

Mat 13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
Mat 13:56 And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?"
Mat 13:57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household."
Mat 13:58 And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.

My brother, may I remind you that NO ONE in all of recordered history tsaw more miracles than did the Israelite that came out of Egypt. God performed great miracles. He turned water to blood, He parted the Red Sea, fed the people with angel food, allowed the people to wear the same shoes for 40 years. He brought water out of a rock! Did that increase their faith in God?????

NO!

Many people desire miracles from God. They want God to perform miracles to “prove” Himself to them. “If only God would perform a miracle, sign, or wonder, then I would believe!” This idea, though, is contradicted by Scripture. When God performed amazing and powerful miracles for the Israelites, did that cause them to obey Him? No, the Israelites constantly disobeyed and rebelled against God even though they saw all the miracles.

The same people who saw God part the Red Sea later doubted whether God was able to conquer the inhabitants of the Promised Land.

This truth is explained in Luke 16:19-31. In the story, a man in hell asks Abraham to send Lazarus back from the dead to warn his brothers. Abraham informed the man, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead” in Luke16 :31.

Jesus performed countless miracles, yet the vast majority of people did not believe in Him. If God performed miracles today as He did in the past, the result would be the same. People would be amazed and would believe in God for a short time. That faith would be shallow and would disappear the moment something unexpected or frightening occurred.

IMHO, faith based on miracles is not a mature faith. God performed the greatest “God miracle” of all time in coming to earth as the Man Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins Romans 5:8 so that we could be saved John 3:16. God does still perform miracles—many of them simply go unnoticed or are denied. However, we do not need more miracles. What we need is to believe in the miracle of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

I agree with you, which is why Jesus always taught his Word first before ever performing any miracles, as faith comes only by hearing the Word of God, and not by seeing miracles.

No argument from me my sister. All I did was copy and paste from the "Factcheck" web site. That would be who your concerns would be with, not me.

My concerns are with Christians who would actually use a site like that to discredit known, and powerful believers---as their argument.
