What If God Only Looked At Our Sin And Not Our Soul?

What If God Only Looked At Our Sin And Not Our Soul?

I am not sure and after worship I will pursue the question. But I do not believe God can look on sin......... He even turned His face away from Jesus when He was on the Stake/cross. I do not think that Holiness can be present with sin. Another thought is that if we have become true disciples of Jesus when God looks at us all He sees is His Son. This is good stuff as I head to worship.

Every love song ever written
Reflects the love from You
Love that’s pure and perfect
In everything You do
Fill me Lord with Your Love
Let this work be done
The world won’t see this servant
The world will see Your Son

What If God Only Looked At Our Sin And Not Our Soul?

Hab_1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

How could God say, "I never knew you" who knows all things?

The Father sees us because he sees his Son in us who only does righteousness.

With this in mind it keeps me kind remembering others as God remembered mankind ..God on the cross love us with the ultimate cost so as he laid his life down I must so lay my life down so one day in the end I may receive my crown.
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:22

We are all sinners, may God have mercy on us.

Flavio Hello,
Forgive me if I misunderstand what you mean here, BUT we can NOT be born again Christians and sinners. Either we are a sinner ( not yet saved) or we are (saved) and Born again 1 Peter 2:23 says it better....Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

If I missunderstood you then I ask of you to please forgive me.
Have a very blessed week

Hello CCW95A,
I wanted to make a comment on what is in blue.
God is all knowing...that we know from His word.
I never knew you is only going to be said or heard because of one reason.....
They never made Jesus Christ Lord of thier life....They never became born again into the family of God and grafted into His olive tree.

When we sin and go to God with repentence or to seek forgivness, we are not ever informing God of anything. Example....we can say, Father you know what I did ? and He would say yep.
That may sound silly but we can not ever inform God of anything. He is a loving and merciful God who is faithful to His word. He does not go around looking for our errors or sin but He chooses to see us through Grace....( God's overwhelming desire to treat us as if sin never happened ) He allows us to come to Him and confess our sins and be washed and clensed and they are remembered no more.

HOWEVER......one thing you have to be careful with this saying that God looks at the soul and not the sin....is to be sure you do not begin to lack in ridding yourself of sin and any unrighteousness. Why ? Because even the little stuff that may not seem important to you is vitally important. Our enemy the devil, will hound you and throw it up in the Face of God and it actually gives the devil the right, or way to get his foot in the door if you will.

Thats my 2 cents worth. ;)
Have a blessed day
Jim

Once we repent of our sins. God forgets them!
How awesome is that? We commit sin to a various degree of intensity and by Jesus sacrificing himself, we are forgiven.
