How many of you guys read the Bible everyday?

I read mine almost every day. Occasionally the day is so busy from the start I forget, though. I read through the Bible, but not on a fixed schedule or number of chapters per day. I like to read for comprehension.

I read on a fixed schedule.

Greetings:
I wake up every morning thinking about food,so I go to the bible everyday to recall:what justifies and who is
the justifier. So instead of butterfying I can beautify, first off.

Discussing the Bible here on this forum does cause one to study it more often than they would normally do. Which is very good.
I completely agree with you. When we are posting on here, we quote from the Bible and think of things from a Biblical prospective.
I am always up front with people, I don't read the Bible every day; I think my personal time with God is far more important.

I totally agree. Without that fellowship time with the Father, the Word of God says nothing. The Father is what gives a "voice" to the written Word, since he is the one who spoke it.

I love the Bible, and I read it everyday. It's really the highlight of my day.

I read every day in one way or another. Some days it does get hettic and I may read a christian magazine article and I watch 2 to 4 hours of the word being taught on DVD's and listen to MP3's and some days even a CD. Oh and I get stuff online to read too and of course this forum.....I truly believe wemust surround our selves with the written word of God.
Happy Reading Juk, OBTW...I dont have a certain schedule to follow on my reading. I just open it up and start reading and I just end up reading were ever I am lead to read.

I use a computer program that opens everyday automatically and offers me few verses and 2 passages from Bible. That´s how I read Bible everyday before my breakfast. It helps me that I don´t have to think about what should I read - I just look what´s chosen for today and read it (this program is created by one of Czech churches that also chooses texts). I think that these programs or schedules for reading Bible every day are really great.

I have a few Christian apps on my phone that has push notifications; never late for the verse of the day etc...
Always prompts me to have a little read.

It's been awhile since I've made it a daily devotional. I was thinking of this since we're approaching the Lenten season (which begins on Wednesday). A daily study of the Scriptures along with a daily rosary prayer is something that I plan to fall deep into in preparing for Easter, but not limited to the preparation -- these ought to be things I do everyday moving forward until I die.

I was reading every day up until a week or so ago when our son was born. Now it's been too hectic adjusting to having two children in the home and trying to get some shut eye.

So praying and reading my Bible has taken a back seat for a few weeks till I can get more structure in the home and have the time to do both.

Before the baby was born I prayed to God to stick with me these next few weeks and give me strength even if I am unable to pray and read His word.

He has done so.

There are multiple levels of my Bible access.

Sometimes I am praying, and have a Bible handy because as I talk to God and God guides my thoughts in response, I find it helpful to verify and connect these thoughts with scripture (This helps me avoid self delusion and thinking it was God talking).

Sometimes I am study-meditating, which for me is a kind of free-form thoughtful study. I often have books or materials from everyday life as well as the Bible.

Sometimes I am just reading. I usually continue on from where I left off last time, or use that topic to suggest where to go next.

Sometimes I am in quiet prayer where I an soul searching and both confessing problems in my life and praising Him for the blessings around me. A Bible is likely to be close, and I may consult it, but this is about brining my soul to God and letting Him instruct me.

I have several recordings of the Bible, and sometimes when I am outside cleaning my yard, etc, I 'have my ears on'.

So yes, I look into God's word every day. Not all methods on all days, but several times per day. At several times in my life I had a set routine that included both deep study and devotional reading times. I benefited greatly at those times, but at those times, I was juggling many endeavors, and that structure was necessary. I now have a greater amount of flexibility in my day, and I seem to find time everyday.

I find that even times that I am not doing Bible study, my thoughts keep returning to one aspect of my studies or another.

I started reading a chapter in Genesis, Psalm, Proverbs, Matthew daily. When I get through Psalm and Proverbs I start over again until I complete the Old and New Testament. Like others have said, I study it a lot more from posts on the forums I belong to. I also try to do a Bible Study once a week and that helps in studying it more in depth.

One thing that I like to do is go over details in the Bible in my head and try to explain them.

Someday i am going to read the Bible through in a year. I keep trying but i get off track and then trying to catch up can take a long time. I was reading my Bible every day, but now i just read about three or four devotional. Time to get back on track though. It really is a blessing to see you in here doing those things that i wish i was doing at your age. I did some, but it seems as if you are way ahead of where i was and i am very proud of you! Keep up the good work!

How about writing down your favorite scriptures on a small business card size card, or for those who have poorer eye sight, to write that on a 3 X5 card. organize it in topics if you want to. Every day, before you leave your house, just put one in your pocket. Mediate on it during commute, stop in front of the traffic light. Or during the weekend, take several more cards to stroll in the park and read on it - and try to memorize on it. You will be amazed, like a good solider who practices his rifle day in and day out. When situation calls for it, you will be so immersed in God's word that like a solider who is ready to defend himself (or take new territory), you have your best weapon as word of God handy for combat. The Bible is full of references of how we need to totally devoted in His scripture.

Joshua 1: 8 "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful "
Psalm 1: 1-2 " Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,2
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
