Faith is Hurting... Need some encouragement

I am still a Christian. But I sometimes argue with atheists about God, and come across atheist content that bashes God. They are planting seeds of doubt into my mind, that mostly everything that the Bible says is fake, that God is evil, etc. I don't like this. I love God, but my faith is hurting a lot. I need some encouragement and prayer. Thanks you guys :)

P.S. I am 12 years old, if that changes anything for you.

Can you pray in the Spirit, Juk? Can you pray in tongues? Having the power and strength of the Holy Spirit within you makes ALL the difference, as otherwise you must grow your faith in your own strength. For myself I let the Spirit uplift me and increase my faith daily, as I overcome trials and tribulations.
Read Acts of the Apostles and be encouraged by the wonderful history and testimonies of the first Christians who overcame the wickedness and unbelief of the Roman world they had to live in.
Stop hanging out with atheists, and stop reading their trash. Read your Bible instead, for that is food and nourishment for your soul.
You know Juk, every time I am praying in tongues and activating the power and truth of the Holy Spirit in me, those loser atheists are condemned because of their unbelief. Just like all those people who did not believe Noah and so they did not get in to the Ark (of salvation). Bad choice.

Spend time on your own commitment and faith. Build up your own righteous living and lifestyle before you take on the world.
Pray to Jesus morning and night - and you can ask him to receive the Holy Spirit as you can read about in Acts and the epistles.
Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Quench not the Spirit.
Despise not prophesyings.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1Thesalonians 5: 16-22

Hey Brother you are 12 and the Lord finds you worthy to stand in the gap. The word says He does not give us more than we can handle ......... He is Your rest/peace regardless of what the world is doing around you. Your concerns for people to understand who God is are the fruits of a transformed heart. Be obedient to Him prompting you to speak or do that is your part in this world we live in. We can't change people but He can and He will.
I will pray for you as He brings you to my remembrance

Juk, little brother, stay away from all that negativity and bad seeds, at least for now. If God wants you to minister to atheists, or if you run into atheists in school or later on, at work, the best thing you can do for now is prepare yourself well. Atheists and people of false religions have a full arsenal of replies and rebuttals to anything a Christian might say to them. If you have not already, start on a steady diet of the Word, and STAY in it for life, and I don't mean one or two verses a day. Your body could not live on two tablespoons of food per day, for long, and you wouldn't be strong enough to even stand up and walk around. Read good chunks a day, roll them over in your mind, think about how they apply to your life, make some mental adjustments, if necessary, and pray as your spirit leads. There are several methods and plans out there. Find one that fits you, and get in the Word. When I first started reading, I devoured the Bible because most of it was new to me. The more I read, the more I wanted to read! Take notes in a journal, if you want, and highlight and/or write in the margins, if you want. This practice is food to strengthen your spirit, to be ready to help someone with questions or to defend the faith. In a short time, you will feel the growth beginning. God bless you.

Juk, when someone comes to you and says there is no God.....you have to understand that that person has just confessed to being a fool who doesn't think much / want an intelligent discussion.

Believing in God's existence is NOT Christian faith. Understand that much. Everyone believes God exists. Even atheists. Christian faith is believing a man who walked the earth 2000 years ago and died for us, is God 1 Cor 12:3. Read that verse properly and a few times. You will grasp that you either believe Jesus is Lord or you don't. Ie Either the Holy Spirit has revealed this to you, or He has not.

Now...we can forgive others for NOT believing Jesus is Lord / in Christianity. All we can do is help them to the water / advise them on how to come to God on His terms Psalm 51:17, Matt 16:24-25.

As for questions knocking your faith. Raise them here. Many here will be eager to answer the questions that likely also caused us to doubt when we too were young. You are quite young btw ;) :).

God bless you. I wish I had some of that fibre when I was your age. Of course you know the greatest battle ever fought is taking place in the human mind and it sounds like you are doing a good job.
My thought on the matter is 'stand on the Word', God can look after Himself and us too.

I have a collection of responses: http://www.fether.net/index.php?page=refuting-atheism-a-quick-reference/

What really matters, though, is why you're a Christian. Our faith is based upon an event in history: eyewitnesses saw Jesus alive again after he had been dead for three days and nights. That fact will never change. And along with the eyewitnesses that it happened, no one can prove it didn't happen. So if you believe that, and you accepted Jesus as your Savior to reconcile you to God, then that is the anchor of your faith. I can guarantee you that no atheist can prove otherwise.

Every one who lives Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

1Pe 4:14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

Fear not, and always stand your ground even though you might have all the answers these people are asking of you. You conscience and heart know what is true, and that is what the Lord is looking at, the intents, and purposes of your heart.
Once you become more informed as you grow in the Lord and in the power of his might you will have no problems in proclaiming the truth as bold as a lion.

I was born into Christianity but I never took it seriously until recently. A YouTuber scared me into it, but I'm glad that I did. Praise the Lord :)

Yes, I always find answers to what atheists say in the Bible at some point. There always is one.

I definitely understand that Jesus is Lord. I was talking to God about just a while ago. I am waiting for a response. Also, I love Matthew 16:24-25.

I am on a Bible reading plan and I do take notes on what I read. :) I have found that the Bible always has answers to other people's rebuttals.

I never got baptized, but I want to be soon. I don't know when though. I was thinking this year. But I think I am getting into things too fast. I pray to Jesus at least twice per day, morning and night.

Good on ya mate. Baptism in the Bible by full immersion, under the water. At an age of consent whereby you confess your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. And also you should confess that Jesus died for you so that you could bury the old person and walk in a new life with Him.
Water baptism in the New Testament is symbolic of death, burial and resurrection by you. Jesus did it for real, crucifixion and death, the tomb, and resurrection.
It is a big commitment, Juk. Do it only when you are ready to give up the desires of your own life and ready to submit to the Scriptures.
No more Mr. Me, but rather what do the Scriptures tell me how to live, behave and interact with others. An ambassador to Jesus and the Gospel.
Jesus said that one needs to consider the cost of giving up his life to follow him.
"And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." Luke:9 61-62

Read your Bible, and pray. Build yourself up in faith to withstand those fiery darts. In time you yourself will know when your ready to take that plunge!

I want to enjoy the final breaths of my childhood, but I know that Jesus is going to come back pretty soon. I might have to die because of my faith. I wanted to get baptized at 18.

There may not be enough years left for that Juk.
Both Putin (Russia) and Erdogen (Turkey) are threats to world peace. Mind you though Europe and Obama are both as well to blame for adding fuel to the fire. But truly it is the last days, Juk, ever since 1918. The very last days. 2017 will be another Year of Jubilee: "And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family." Leviticus 25: 10
It will be exactly another 50 years since 1967 when in the Six Day War Israeli forces took control of the "West Bank" and East Jerusalem, and ALL of Jerusalem, and Israel was under Jewish reign. This is significant because under the Law the Year of Jubilee (49 years + 1) the land was to be redistributed back to its original owners. Land could not be sold forever under the Law. So 2017 should see some fireworks. Especially, over the Temple Mount issue.

To die for your faith is not to become stricken down with the plague or some other terrible malady. You still have to go to school, drive on the correct side of the road, brush your teeth, put out the rubbish and do your chores (yes!).
But, it is more a matter of being ready to move from just thinking about who Jesus is and believing in him, to experiencing him in Spirit and in truth. When you are born again - water baptism and Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Truth) and you can pray in tongues - you will know for yourself that Jesus is true, that Jesus is alive and all of the Bible is completely true [every story]. You will rejoice in knowing that God (all 3 in 1) are within you.
Then your desires of the heart change. You will want to do that which is right unto Jesus, and you WILL want to go and tell your friends and others all about you have received. Just like in the Scriptures.
Juk, we have Spirit-filled kids and teenagers in our Fellowship. They are still kids and enjoy mostly what other kids generally like, but without joining in on some of the really bad stuff. Are our young people perfect and saintly? Certainly not. They have a lot of growing up to do, both naturally and "in the Lord" as we say. You will not lose your childhood, but you will gain the power of God to assist you accomplish great things through him.
