Are you political correct?

Hi, I'm Kat, I'm new here.

I just was wondering, do you say Merry Christmas or do you use the pc version and say, Happy Holidays?

I say Merry Christmas. I'll let you know why after a few tell us what they say. (y)

Hey Kat (waving) and welcome to CFS! And Merry Christmas to you too (and a happy new year). Is being politically correct mean you are worldly (grin)? I rejoice that our Savior was born every day but particularly at this time of year because it reminds me of the love of my family and memories and the love God shows us. Christ's birth was celebrated in Heaven and by a few wise men here on earth. At least that is what scriptures tells us.

Hiya Silk! *waves back* Merry Christmas!

I have friends from around the world, and I have not always been Christian, but you know, someone wishing me Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Yule, or whatever, never bothered me. I always found it charming. I'm the kind of person that is just happy to be remembered. *blushes*

I come from India.. I have no idea why there is so much fuzz in US about saying Merry Christmas.. This year I am seeing Home depot advertising "holiday trees"! This is simply insane.. I can only laugh.. Back in India, all hindus happily wish "Merry Christmas".

I remember this verse in Romans 1. People want to suppress the truth.. Let's see how well that is going to go..

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth

I say merry christmas.
Usually after 25 th december on the day and then also happy holidays cos of new year.

I like noel, felice navidad, too, reminding me its jesus birthday. I wouldnt know what its called in chinese, but everyone knows what you mean, at least, i hope so.

Some people say seasons greetings. I kinda feel thats a bit generic, but it does get crazy silly over summer..advent is an exciting time but many ppl forget theres twelve days of christmas and there is the kings birthday celebration on january 6th for those who want to be traditional.

Hello Kat and welcome. I have read some of your comments and noticed your "likes".

To answer your question...NO! I am not a PC person. Too old and had too much authority in life over the past 50 years to not say what I want to say now. I bet I am going to be a real mess if I live to 80 or so.(Think)!

It is Merry Christmas and usually Happy Jesus Birthday for me.

God bless you my brother!

Usually sing Hallelujah/allelulia as thats what the angels sang when Jesus was born.

They werent going round saying 'merry christmas' as that whole holiday hadnt been invented yet lol. But better thing to say is Happy New Year cos when Jesus was born thats when our calendar officially started there eas a BC and now an AD, every time we write the date its a reminder of the world changing event that happened from Jesus birth.

I say merry Christmas but, if I knew someone who did not celebrate Christmas I would just not say anything to them, rather then say happy holidays, people have told me happy holidays my reply to them is merry Christmas.
