Was 1 John 5:7 added to the King James Bible by a reluctant Erasmus?

Check the 1599 Geneva Bible to dispel all doubt.

1 John 5:7 For there are three, which bear record in heaven, the Father, the [a]Word, and the holy Ghost: and these three are [b]one.

Regardless if Erasmus was reluctant or not, his concerns were unwarranted about the validity of the 1 John 5:7 testimony when it was already present in the 1599 Geneva Bible.

It's in the Cloverdale bible dated 1535:

1 John 5:7 (Coverdale)
(For there are thre which beare recorde in heauen: the father, the worde, and the holy goost, & these thre are one.)

And the Tyndale bible dated 1525:

1 John 5:7 (Tyndale)
(For ther are thre which beare recorde in heuen the father the worde and the wholy goost. And these thre are one)

I wouldn't trust any version after the KJV, especially after watching the video on http://www.christianforumsite.com/threads/what.39481

Thanks for sharing the link to the video.

I do not know why the "like" keeps disappearing from your post, but I hope it stays there this time.

...we're so used to double-clicking....

I think what had happened was that I had gone "back" to this page after leaving it and found my like not registered when it was when I had left. And so I clicked on it again. Then after several visits to other pages and then coming back here, it still needed to be registering my "like".

Obviosuly, when I went back to this page after loeaving it, I was seeing the old page before I had liked it and so when I had hit it again, it became unliked. Then after several visits to other pages and then coming back here, my like was not there and so I had to register it again, but that time it stayed because I went on to other pages instead of backtracking after having left it.

Anyway, that is what I "think" had happened.
