What Features Of A Bible App Are Most Important To You?

This app has the audio option to a degree. It will speak a list of verses. It also has a favorite option. I really like the idea of folders. I will try and work that in. Thanks

No Greek or Hebrew, could not figure out the copy and paste. Would not move to eternal drive. Look at e-sword and reproduce that on Android. Thanks for the effort though.

uninstalled.

I did try Mysword and it allowed me to select my sd card with 4 gig for all the storage, then downloaded a bunch of stuff with strong numbers. (Now if all my apps would do that)
Also came with free download of young literal translation, now how awesome is that?

The only thing wrong with it is that it's still not e-sword.

There are plenty of apps that have Strong numbers on Android. His app does what no other app, that I've heard of, has (categorizing the Bible by name and subject) . If you want to stick with your My Sword (which has immoral business practices) then that's fine. You can't judge an app on what it isn't. This app isn't meant to be My Sword or E-Sword.

Well, My Sword came with lots of bibles, have the niv, BBE, AMP and there is a voice search through Google services. There is lots of options for notes and it's the closest to e-sword I have found.

Now as for business practices, if I went by what the World was doing, there would not be many products left to buy. Pepsi is using dead babies to figure out how to flavor their products better and they have a whole ton of brands out there.

I love E-Sword, so I'm in the same boat as you.I just won't use My Sword because:
1. They charge you $50 for the "Deluxe" version
2. Even after you pay for the Deluxe version you only get three downloads ( I believe three was the number). After that I guess you have to pay another $50
3. Since you have to "donate" to get better versions of the app they are under no obligation to give you any more downloads or even give you the Deluxe version to begin with.
4. They intentionally do all transactions outside of the Play Store so that they don't have to give Google a cut of the profit so they can keep all the money for themselves.

In other words, I'm not going to have anything to do with My Sword. For people claiming to be Christians they sure are sleazy.

The new update cleaned it up a bit. What I would suggest is putting a book abbreviation in the lower left hand button so that people know that you use that to change books.

Great idea, I will add that soon. I'm working on the tagging features. Bare with me but I think at the end you will be able to save a tag as a category and tag phrase. It's nice when you want to link verses with with a particular preaching.

I'm really excited about the tagging feature. None of the other apps I use have tagging.

I am uploading a new version in a few minutes. I updated the tagging concept. Please be advise that all previous tags/saved words will be lost. Hopefully this is not a huge inconvenience. The new update will allow a user to save a category and a key word/phrase with a category. I will be updating some color options in the near future. Feel free to give me feedback on the tagging. I will continue working on it.

I know you're still improving it so I haven't been adding much to it. I'll let you know what I think.

Right now it's available on the Playstore for Android only. I hope to be developing on all platforms soon. So... not yet, but in time yes
I hope you can/will compile a LINUX version. I wasn't aware that there were other OS? (Not really true)

An app Calvin , like android os .

Now that I am trying to us this tapatalk thing I would like to see this integrated into mysword which is impressive for a android thing . Now how to switch back and fourth on a phone?

Check out the new update. I'm trying to move as fast as possible. Thanks for Your support

NIV.......... Ummm.

Good effort.

It's needs to blow mysword out of the water though, I found tons of bibles for mysword (Torrent) and It's pretty amazing for android.

I was actually impressed with it when comparing it to e-sword, and I am very hard to impress when it comes to bible study tools.

Yours is missing the NEC, BDB, Strongs,Thayers, and a mess more. Also other bible modules for comparing scriptures seems to be missing somewhere.

For a childs NIV, ya, it might be OK. You might want to add some teddy bear pics or something as many do not even take the NIV seriously at all.

Keep trying, I am hoping......

I'm not sure your getting the point of this app. I'm really not trying to be like esword or other apps of that nature. This is not intended to be a study bible. I would think study bibles are targeted towards mature Christians digging deep into God's Word. This is actually trying to do somewhat the opposite. The purpose is to organize verses into categories and key words. To make it easy for those not so familiar with the Word sift through the word. The target would be for people trying to save verses into custom groups and topics. I am really trying to make it easy and fun to use. Thanks for the feedback. God Bless

I did ask for opinions.. your right. You have your right to an opinion. I see how serious the site is. The teddy bear comment wasn't really necessary, but hey to each is own. Keep in mind we all don't start as serious Christians. We really need to be sensitive to others as we try to be fishers of men. Thanks again for Your feedback. The children's angle may not be a bad one. God Bless

I was serious about the Teddy Bears.

Just because we don't start out learned believers, does not mean we are not serious believers. I got saved in prison and got a strongs concordance right away. What ever tool I could get my hands on.

Think about it............. Light fluffy bible app.

It's a matter of not very long they are going to see one thing and want to dive in and it's frustrating to people when their bible app just won't do it.

Even e-sword, I wonder why they don't have that obsolete translation.

I am thinking something with training wheels, your thinking just make it a bigwheel out of plastic.
