Is Anyone Celebrating Passover?

Is anyone celebrating Passover this year? How do you celebrate it? We are going to celebrate Passover and Easter and I'm going to try to avoid the pagan elements of Easter.

Our church is having an egg hunt, and normally we would go... not sure if we should?

I say if the focus is really upon Christ and its a sincere intention of the heart to make remembrance of Him...who cares what a bunch of nuts did thousands of years ago? However we got some of these traditions? we got them and if you and your family would celebrate...with an egg hunt or whatever...how does that dishonor the Lord? It does not! But Where would have to make sure those eggs came from happy chickens before he would look for them

You make a great point! So we should be able to go and celebrate Islamic holidays too, because how does that dishonor the Lord?

Any eggs, that are not organic, will not be found.

Well If they will allow you to proclaim Christ in there holiday? I suggest you are very much representing Christ :D I doubt you will be able to do that, in there tradition? But we can in this tradition that Sweet is speaking of.... Don't play word games with me, Where:p

No word games here Mr. Mitspa, I've never been good at scrabble.

But, what do they say about a little yeast? Something about a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough?

This is an interesting subject. I have a question. Which would you say is more important, Passover, or Easter?

Well the yeast is hypocrisy and wickedness...not meaningless traditions of man. In all things Christ should be exalted...this tradition is nothing as it relates to a sincere faith. If some begin to think "hunting eggs" has some value as it relates to our worship? Then of course that could be a problem. But children hunting eggs is nothing and has no effect as to the leaven that we are warned of in the scriptures. In fact I would say God is pleased to see these little ones running around in the yard and having fun ... Religion is a unhappy thing when it attempts to find fault in these harmless things.

Easter comes from a pagan religion. Why practice something that is unholy and unbiblical? Why try to make it fit into Christianity?

I personally don't hold either as having any spiritual power or effect upon my faith. I die daily with Christ and live everyday as holiday unto Him...But I do rather injoy the fact the He is remembered on these days by some that usally do not consider Him. Of course His resurrection is our life, but we must first die with Him.

Its already there...why go on a witch now? Its nothing to true believers and it has no power to corrupt the faith of anyone that puts it in a biblical perspective.

Cool, let's celebrate Halloween in the name of Christ too :)
You know Paul told those who where worried about eating food that was offered to false gods, not to do it..if there conscience would not allow them to do it in faith... If you or others see these things as related to false gods and don't want to have any part in these things? Then good...don't! but don't try to make a "sin" where there is no "sin"...

Didn't say anything about "sin." Don't try to make an assumption, where there is no evidence. ;)

You are religious! Where?

I didn't know that I was, but if I am, I hope it is religion that the Father accepts as pure and faultless, which is to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Did you like the video I shared on my Facebook? When it showed the girl coming from school, I got a little chocked up.

Yea it was really good...and I also hope to help the weak always:) Hunting eggs does not "pollute" nor does eating the eggs of chickens that have not lived on some S. California...commune..

Yes eating eggs that are pumped with hormones and other bad stuff does POLLUTE the body! The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, according to some scripture. You say you have the Holy Spirit, don't pollute the Holy Spirit's temple

"Nothing" that a man puts into his body can defile him, but what comes from a mans heart is what defiles a man- Jesus Christ

now Paul is speaking of fornication...not food or touch not...taste not..handle not. None of that has ANYTHIING to do with keeping the temple of the Lord...

Col 2:6 ¶ Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using
;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

Can you send me a video of you drinking bleach then?
