Laying Hands Gift

I wish I did. I would cure my son of his attention issues :(
I believe that you can. As a believer, and as a mother, you have every right to lay hands on your child and pray for them in the name of Jesus. We are able to do that and declare healing for them!

Ive been doing that. I need to believe! Thank U.

Sorry I didn't mean to make this about me.

I would like to know more about this topic. :)

Jesus said, if you believe on my name, you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. You know Jesus talked to a fever?

Luk 4:38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
Luk 4:39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

Mat 8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
(Mar 16:17-18)

Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

So, this is not a gift, in fact there are no scriptures that denote a gift called "laying on of hands" Paul called it a doctrine (Heb 5-6)

To qualify for this on you have to believe on the name of Jesus. Peter saying that it was faith in the name of Jesus that made this man whole whom you see standing before you.

Recover is not a all or nothing things. people think if God don't heal everything right then, then they were not healed. NO, Recover means to recover, not always instantly healed.

The gifts of healing in operation is always instant, but that gift is to correct things quickly and help unbelievers. We believe and should be mature enough to trust God and stand on his word, that when he says we lay hands on the sick, then there would be no options but that they recover. If they will receive though.

I wish I did. I would cure my son of his attention issues :(

Oh my..................... You just gave ownership of attention issues to your very son.

What you say, matters. If you declare it so, then so be it according to your faith, Jesus said. For by your words your justified and by your words you are condemned.
How be it that we ought to call things that be not as though they were.

Mar 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

If you believe you have something, then you don't speak as if you don't have it.
This is why many fail to receive from God, breaking what he said in His Word.

"To qualify for this on you have to believe on the name Jesus. Peter saying that it was faith in the name of Jesus"

Is the name of Jesus important?

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
(Act 4:14-16)

The man was healed, nothing they could say about that.

So they ask, by what authority, what name did you use to heal this man?

Act 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
(Act 4:9-12)

Jesus defeated the enemy, destroyed the works of the devil. To be honest, to get to the place of being confident of laying hands on the sick, your going to have to find out exactly what Jesus did, and why his name is above all names. Even the name of cancer.

Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law. In that curse was all manner of sickness and bad things.

Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

So by what Jesus did, He gave his name to us as a power of attorney. Sickness must bow in faith in the name of Jesus.

Would do good to meditate through all the curses and just see what he has delivered us from.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
(Deu 28:15)

The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away. The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. . If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God. And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
(Deu 28:24-66)

I chopped some out........ But all these came on men for not obeying the law. Jesus took that punishment we deserved.
All these were curses from that law.

Good news though.

Gal 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Now read through all those curses in your bible, and find out what Jesus made us free from. Because we receive the blessings by faith now, that deliverance is by faith, not by works anymore.

Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

So it sounds like His name is important. If His name is important, why do we call Him Jesus?

I understand titles like God, Lord, Christ, Messiah, but Jesus is not a title, it's a name, and it was not the name he was given when he was born.

I type all that for nothing. Yeshua,Yahushua Jehoshua, Iesous, Christ.

Mat 1:25 And knewe her not, till shee had brought forth her first borne sonne, and he called his name Iesus.KJV 1611

I can promise you, Language is not important, if we are able to get across our idea. No devil is confused when someone says the name of Jesus. Christ Anointed or the Hebrew Root Messiah was never Translated. The Christ remains the same.

It's not the name, it's faith in the name. The head of the church, Master, Lord. It's what you believe about the Christ.

Anyway, wasting time here again.

"I type all that for nothing."
Don't be so hard on yourself. ;)

You don't have to promise me anything. Promises are unbiblical.

As for language not being important, I agree with you. However, the idea that is trying to get across on the scripture you posted is the importance of His name.

Now, people that I know from other countries, no matter what language they're speaking, their name is always the same.

You say it's not the name it's faith in the name, but how can one have faith in a name they know not off? Or if you're saying its not the name, meaning what we call him doesn't matter, then call we call Christ satan? I hope not.

As far as you mentioning the head of the church, master, lord, again those are titles not names, there is a difference between the two.

"Anyway, wasting time here again."

Are you mad, or tired? :)

Praying in the name of Jesus is the key to God's power. Jesus said, "Most assuredly, i say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you" (John 16:23). Praying in the name of Jesus gives us authority over the enemy and proves our faith in God to do what His Word promises.

"We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Thes 1:12).

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name " (Phil. 2:9).

my brother was prophesied abt and he will be able to do miracles..and my aunt healed someone of cancer, and my cousin did too. His cousin lol(our fledgling church is built of family right now) was pregnant w/ her 5th child and she went to the doctor and he/she said her baby was going to have down syndrome...and they detected breast cancer..but my cousin just spoke life over her (scripture) and she went back the next day and they found nothing ..and said her baby was healthy ^^

Laying on of hands and healing gifts are VERY real and still active :)

Also having faith is very important if you doubt, it won't work... Like elijah did w/ the woman's dead son... if that happened to most christians today they'd be willing to pay for the funereal arrangements... but Elijah truly believed in God.

You have to know what you know, you to believe like you believe your name is (-fill in the blank) w/ o any hestation or doubt lol

Every Christian has this gift if they just have faith and not beg God. That is awesome the healing that your family has received though. God hasn't changed and will continue to work miracles in our lives.
