Why Did God Pick Men?

I am hard pressed to find women as the leaders in the bible. It is is downright impossible to find female versions of Moses, Jesus, Paul, Daniel, and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendago.. What is going on? Why has God not put women in the Leadership role within the bible? Don't mothers know best? Any and all feedback is welcome. Try to keep it friendly.
Also to point out nowhere does it say the women were bad. Paul may have said for thewomen not to have authority over man bbecause the men were the ones who were studying. That's a possibility. Paul may have simply been saying let those who are studying his word be those in authority. I know from my own experiences in life the men have been those who gibe the bible greater authority. Paul said the women ought not to talk but be silent in service lest they pervert the word of God. Maybe the women were speaking against Gods word and it was starting quarrels. Maybe that's all it was. Paul says men lay down or life for or wife just as Christ did. That is an amazing thing. Meaning you man have to life your life in a way that will lead her into all truth. You have to pick the will of God for her sake. It is quite clear. Maybe Paul was saying it because the men were not loving their women.

I see it like this.. Men and women have completely different responsibilities. Responsibility is not directly proportional to equality. That's where people go wrong. Men and women are equals with completely different set of responsibilities. We don't see counterpart for Hannah.. Rebecah..

Women ministered to Jesus in Matthew 27:55
Women were part of Jesus' ministry in Luke 8:2 - supporting it and touring along just like His disciples.

Not sure that answers the question but Jesus certainly did not exclude women.

Greetings:
Mankind is challenged in order to make a monument to faith.God wants a trophy too;so instead of of a field with good
soil(women),he starts with lots of rocks(men).

bye

God picked and used men because "Men" are the head. It in no way means that God thought less of women at all, that is bad teaching. The truth is that when a man and woman join in marriage they are "one flesh." Secondly the marriage union is a reflection of Christ and the church, but when looking deeper you will notice that man and woman together are complete and therefore demonstrate both natures of God. When God looks at a married couple He really only sees "One flesh." So when He choose Moses, Aaron and all the other biblical people know He chose them both. The men and thier wives, God then addresses both parties as one flesh but addresses the male since He is the head. Now I realize that not all men chosen were married and had a spouse in that case I would say continue to pray for revelation concerning this because I don't know the answer to that one but I myself am intrigued by this question.

My thoughts are that Adam and Eve were equal in that God took Adam's rib and not his big toe or part of his skull. But Eve was deceived whereas Adam willfully ate the fruit. She was to be Adam's helper, not slave or ruler. Still, Eve came out of Adam as Adam was first. I believe out of their sins, Eve is made subject to her husband. Because of sin, there has to be a hierarchy else there's chaos, Mark 3:25.

Very good! But she was not called to be his "helper" but his "help meet"; that is, the one with whom he would procreate children. You see, The Lord God "...formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them...". God brought male and female animals to Adam, but for Adam "...there was not a help meet for him." In other words, there was not a female for Adam! Afterwards, the Lord God caused a deep sleep to come over Adam, and when he awoke he saw the woman and said (the first prophesy), "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh." Adam saw himself in the woman, and knew she was to be his "help meet" to fructify and multiply the world.

Jezebel was a leader and feared by many. The queen of sheeba had great authority and came to hear Solomon. Ruth stood up for her people and put her own life on the line.

Junia who was fellow prisoner of Paul and kinsman was a women apostle and would have had authority of those works she started.

The list is not big, but they are there. Let's not forget Sarah who got mentioned with the rest in faith in Hebrews 11. It takes lots of faith to make that list.

Paul never said women are not to be in authority over men ..... Go back and re-read the context in Tim.

He said Women are not to "USURP" authority over a man. Meaning if the man is in authority, you don't over ride it. It did not say women are not to have any authority at any time. The whole instruction was How a Godly women was to conduct herself. Not that she could not be in charge of anything.

In Titus women were called teachers and to instruct the younger.

Blessings.

Eve did use authority over Adam in her actions, she did not ask for his permission to bite of the forbidden fruit, she just listened to the serpent and made her decision... Adam is the one who followed her lead and without a word took a bite also and of course when God asked him what he did he blamed God for giving her to him in the first place...

Genesis 3:12 "The man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate."

First i find this particular scripture to be a bit humorous, and it also shows that Adam, who was created first, and Eve who was created from his rib had authority over him, and he just followed, without a word... and then he blames God

i do wonder though, if it was this action of Eve which took away her authority by God and made her the neck of mankind and not the head... this scripture shows she was in charge...:)

:) I stand corrected. :) Excellent analogy!

Have you ever noticed how when Jesus would ask someone something is was to point out a deficiency!? That's what God did for Adam... Adam named all the creatures and notice they all had mates. Then he realized he didn't and God said that wasn't good.

When Jesus pointed out 'deficiencies' it was to correct their thoughts and actions... God did not see Adam's condition as a 'deficiency' but something as 'amiss', that he was missing an important part and that part was Eve.

If you notice, Adam blamed God, then threw Eve under the bus. Every man for himself.

I have often thought....What would have happened after eve ate of the forbidden tree, if Adam would have refused? God would have ordered her out and Adam would be a perpetual bachelor,
Or would God have put Adam back to sleep and made another "Help Meet" for him?..... Think of the ramifications!! Eve only would have been ordered out of the garden.....and..and.( gasp!!) become the " Other Woman"!!! but I digress..

Actually Adam did blame God...and Eve blamed Satan...The first two to start the " Blame Game".....can I get a witness?

Deborah was a Prophetess and the Judge over Israel ..

Deborah was a prophetess of the God of the Israelites, the fourth Judge of pre-monarchic Israel, counselor, warrior, and the wife of Lapidoth according to the Book of Judges chapters 4 and 5.( Wikepedia)
Born: 1200 BC
Died: 1124 BC
So it was in the time of Deborah. It was the cruel Canaanite King Jabin of Hazor who mercilessly oppressed the Jews. He had an equally cruel and brutal general named Sisera who, for twenty years, did everything possible to make the lives of his Jewish neighbors miserable. When the Jews could stand it no longer, they cried out to G‑d to send them a deliverer.

At that time there lived a wise and G‑d-fearing woman named Deborah who, in the midst of sin and idolatry, remained loyal and true to Judaism. Deborah used to sit under a palm tree and speak to the people who flocked to hear her words of wisdom and encouragement, which lifted them out of their despair. G‑d told Deborah to free her people from the oppression of the cruel Jabin and Sisera. She went to battle with Barak the general of her army, but Sisera learning of the plans thought he could win the battle, when it looked like they could not he fled the field and took refuge in the tents of Heber a descendant of Jethro, the father in law of Moses, thinking he was safe. Jael, the wife of Heber was angered at Sisera's 20 year cruel treatment against the Jews, she went in his tent at night and drove a nail in his temples.

After the victory of the Israelites, the Canaanites lost their power, and the Jews were able to live peacefully. Deborah returned to her abode in the mountain of Ephraim, and composed a most beautiful poem about the battle. It is a song which, even today, is considered second only to the song of Moses. For twenty years the Jews lived in peace under the wise guardianship of Deborah and Barak. It proves what a great woman Deborah must have been to command so much respect and admiration.
Deborah is most certainly on the top of my favorite women for her warrior spirit and her love of God.
