The shroud of Turin is a fake!

The shroud of Turin is a fake!

There are various opinions and researches of the shroud of Turin. Some people say that it is the genuine and some that it is the fake and the hoax. The fact is that the shroud of Turin doesn't present Jesus of the Bible. If we can find even one evidence, which disprove the shroud of Turin theory, so the whole story shall be invalidated. We can find a large number of evidence from the Bible, which show that the shroud of Turin cannot be the shroud of the Lord Jesus.

Archeologist Shimon Gibson with his colleagues found the tomb discovery in Jerusalem 2009. The discovery exposed remains of the man who had suffered leprosy and died tuberculosis. The researches records that deceased have lived in 1-50 A.D. (in the time of Jesus) and the tomb was obviously the family tomb of upper class or priest family.

Gibson said that the man had been buried according to manners of the Jews at that time. The manner was that the body wrapped to linen clothes, and the head wrapped with separate face linen. Gibson said that if the person wasn't actually dead and woke up, he could shake and blow off the face linen and shout for help.

Professor Shimon Gibson said that the shroud of Turin doesn't fit together for burial practices in first century Palestine. Gibson said that the shroud of Turin is a single sheet made with a twill weave. According to Gibson the twill weave was known only from the medieval period.

Shimon Gibson's archeological evidence is accord with the testimony of the Bible. According to the Bible Lazarus and Jesus had been wrapped with linen clothes and the head with the separate napkin.

John 11: And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and hisface was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

John 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

John 20:
6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

The Bible gives the testimony that the bodies, hands and feet of Lord Jesus and Lazarus wrapped linen clothes and with the separate napkin. In the case of Lazarus Greek text use from the word graveclothes word keiria, which is in plural. This means that Lazarus' body, hands and feet had been wrapped with several linen clothes. In the case of Lazarus the napkin is in Greek text soudaria and in a singular form. According to John 11:44 Lazarus' head wrapped with the separate napkin (face linen) as his body, hands and feet. Shimon Gibson's archeological discovery's man had been wrapped the exactly same way as the Bible describes wrapping of Lazarus.

John 19:40 the napkin word is in Greek text othonion, which is in this verse plural. John 20:6 the linen clothes is in Greek text othonion and in plural form. John 20:7 the napkin is in Greeksoudarion and in a singular form. The discovery of Shimon Gibson with his colleagues is accord with the testimony of the Bible, because Jesus' body, hands and feet had been wrapped with several linen clothes and in His head had been separate face linen (the napkin).

According to the theory of the shroud of Turin Jesus' had been wrapped on a large linen (shroud). According to the testimony of the Bible, the shroud of Turin is the deception and the fake.

I Hope This Helps. Numbers Confirm Truth (IN CONTEXT)

Natural Order... A=1 B=2 C=3...z=26

(JESUS OF NAZARETH=188) (SHROUD OF TURIN=188)

More Examples... (COUNT=73) (NUMBER=73)

(HOLY=60) (WORD=60) (JESUS=74) (MESSIAH=74)

(NUMERIC PROOF=153) (NUMBER + LETTER=153) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8KLjxFCpXw

(HELL=37) IS A REAL (PLACE=37) (HOLY BIBLE=90) (WORD FACT=90) (REALITY=90)

Of course the shroud of Turin is fake. God tells is not to make images so God would definitely not allow this. That would break His own law He Himself gave. And God cannot break His own law.

When Father God Raised Jesus, It Left This Image! This is Not man made, and satan himself could not have done this.

When the Bible talks about images it means man made images, graven images.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:4-6)

GOD HAS GIVEN MANKIND FREE WILL TO BELIEVE OR TO CHOOSE NOT TO BELIEVE.

LIKE WITH BELIEVING ANYTHING WE MUST BELIEVE WITHOUR HEART, NOT THE NATURAL MIND.

IT IS WHAT IT IS. GOD ALMIGHTY RAISED JESUS, THIS IS 100% TRUE! But yes, We do not worship any image, We Have The BIBLE And The HOLY SPIRIT.

(WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH) FAITH = ABIDING IN CHRIST

WHEN I LEARNED OF ENGLISH NUMERICS 5 YEARS AGO, IT CONFIRMED WHAT I ALREADY BELIEVED.

(JESUS OF NAZARETH=188) (SHROUD OF TURIN=188) A=1 B=2 C=3... NATURAL ORDER (CONTEXT CONFIRMED)

NUMBERS CONFIRM- (HOLY BIBLE=90) (WORD FACT=90) (REALITY=90)

I'VE BEEN TESTING WORDS AND PHRASE'S FOR 5 YEARS, AND IT'S BEEN RIGHT ON 100% (CONTEXT CONFIRMED)

I don't mean to be a nay-sayer or anything, but if the SoT is the real deal...so what?
If it's fake....so what?
It's irrelevant. What matters is what Christ accomplished on the cross. The SoT thing is kinda interesting on a certain level, but ultimately it just doesn't make any difference whether its real or fake. Wouldn't change things one bit.

I'm pretty sure God gave that commandment in the context of idolatrous worship as per that passage. He doesn't want us to make graven images (like golden calves) for the purpose of us bowing down and worshipping them. If God commanded us not to make any representation of anything at all on earth, regardless of whether or not we intended to worship them, then we couldn't do much of anything really. Any actor portraying Jesus in a biblical epic film would, in a sense, be a "graven image" of Christ, and would be idolatry. Any childrens' picture book that contains art depicting people or animals would be idolatry.

Simply believing that the SoT had the imprinted image of Christ would not be idolatry on our part unless we were foolish enough to worship a lifeless piece of cloth instead of Christ...

And just a side note, the fact that God commands us not to do a specific something does not mean that God Himself is not allowed to do that something.

No idea whether it is fake or real, Tony but current today's head is saying we can let such things lead us into some form of idolatry

...As if we didn't know?

I'd be hard-pressed to find somebody who didn't realize, eventually, the shroud of Turin is as bogus as a burger from McDonald's.

lol. Love your choice of phrase. Actually, I thought this was debunked many years ago. It never made any sense to me to pursue this whole thing from the beginning. We don't need rabbit trails when we have Scripture that was Inspired by God to show us the way. Stuff like this is too similar to false idols to make me comfortable.

You mean that's not real prime beef? And the chicken? Surely that's....NNOOOOO!!!! *weeps in despair and disillusionment* ......pulls self together, wipes eyes, has a long honk in his hanky* Actually, my fast food of choice these days is Wendy's.

Actually, with what little I know of chemistry, etc., there are many natural explanations for the image on the shroud and numerous reasons to prefer those explanations over concluding that this was Jesus' shroud as have been brought out in this thread. For me, I think to myself, why would Jesus leave such a thing behind? What would be the point? The disciples watched Jesus die, and after the resurrection had His scars to prove that this was indeed the Jesus that had been buried.

If I don't believe the witness of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit, I'm not likely to be convinced by a shroud with a mysterious image on it.

Lol, thanks. I was going to say something about Taco Bell or Carl's, Jr., but McDonald's is rather universal...

And I agree with you. Looking for shrouds and grails is a throwback to paganism. Our faith shouldn't be based on symbols and objects, talismans, etc. but on God, right? And yes...I do think it was debunked way, way back in the day, but there are still a lot of people who want to tote around that you can see the face of Jesus in the shroud.

It's kind of like 'Christian' jewelry to me. I like jewelry, but I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a cross around my neck. It doesn't make me feel any better.

I don't know where you are, but my favorite fast-food fix is a wet red bean-and-cheese burrito from the Green Burrito. Actually, I'm craving one right now. And they're not fattening, at least not to me. And then again, I'm a dancer, so I burn a lot of calories and my metabolism is high, lol.

If I don't believe the witness of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit, I'm not likely to be convinced by a shroud with a mysterious image on it.

...But unfortunately, there are a lot of people in this world who need physical proof to affirm their faith or their beliefs.

I seem to remember Christ saying something to Timothy about that type of faith. lol.

You're right, he did...

It's funny, I remember stuff I read, but yet I can never remember what book (exactly) I find those scriptures in. I once, believe, I read a scripture that said something along these lines. And I swear - I'm not joking, I really did remember reading this:

Some say the world will end in ice [and water?]
But because God has already destroyed the world once with water
And has given us His promise never to destroy the earth again in such manner,
I say that the world will end in fire and brimstone...

Maybe I was seeing things. :(

What you wrote is correct. God has promised never to destroy the world with water again. Though, I have a feeling that what you are quoting isn't from Scripture but perhaps from commentary. Sometimes my memory plays tricks on me, but I just don't remember it being worded in exactly that way.

They're bogus burgers, sure....but they're yummy bogus burgers.

Whether they're healthy or not may be another subject...lol.

And that has been confusing me some. I, too, remember God saying he would never destroy the earth by water again. I think it might have just been the translation. My grandmother has around 10 different Bibles in different translations, from the KJV to more modern works with a more linear language. The Bible I was flipping through was more modern than the others, so I believe it was the choice of the translator. There was also a lot of commentary, but then again...I can't be quite sure. It was nestled somewhere in the writings of Peter or Paul. I know whomever wrote it had a name that started with a 'P'.

Thanks. :)
