We Have The Mind Of Christ

Today's Reading : 1 Corinthians 2: 1-16

What a priviledge we believers have " The mind of Christ"

What does that mean ?

To me it means I need to put into my mind all that is pure , rejecting the wordly temptations because it says we are a spiritual person , who will know the mind of the Lord and we are teachable because of the Holy Spirit.

We get our wisdom from God . That is powerful my friend . Even before the world began , God had planned this wisdom for our glory

I don't take this lightly . The Holy Spirit searches out things that only a person's spirit can relate to His thoughts.

We received the Holy Spirit which is from God so that we can know all that God has given us .

We can only explain spiritual truths taught to us by the Holy Spirit to other believers .

That is why it is futile to tell a non- believer these revelations that we receive because they would not understand and would say we are foolish .

So my dear brothers and sisters - let us always reflect on spiritual things and praise God for and in everything .

And remember as born again believers ... We have the mind of Christ .

‎1 Timothy 4:7-8 But have nothing to do with irreverent and silly myths. Rather, train yourself in godliness, for, the training of the body has a limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We have the mind of Christ by renewing our mind to the Word of God. The world has a way of thinking that is just the opposite of how God thinks. When we study and medititate on His Word and find out what He thinks about every situation that comes along, we humble ourselves and agree that He is right, (because He always is). And we line our thinking up with Him, instead of holding on to our old way of thinking, the unregenereate man.

Thank you GodSpeaks . I agree with all you said . Humility is the key . And yes His thoughts are better than our thoughts , His ways are better than our ways.

Micah 4:12
But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD; they do not understand his plan, he who gathers them like sheaves to the threshing floor.

Isaiah 55:7-9

7 Let the wicked forsake his way
and the evil man his thoughts.
Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.

9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

That speaks of the natural man, the unsaved man that cannot know God's thoughts and ways. You mentioned in the first post how the natural mind cannot comprehend the things of God. Only until they are saved and learn God's ways can they begin to truly know Him. This is also true of the carnal man, someone who has been saved but is following the flesh instead of walking in the spirit

Ok so I should have just posted ;
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.

Instead of the whole scripture . That's why you are needed here for clarification .

That's good that you posted the whole thing to know who it is refering to. Because most people think it is talking about us and how we can never know his ways. We can, but the unsaved can't. Yet it takes us doing our part to achieve it

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

Amen .... That is such an important verse . If we do not study , read , and know His Word , we cannot even pray effectively ... We will never have a relationship with Jesus if we don't know the truth .

John 8:32
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

What a priviledge we believers have " The mind of Christ"

What does that mean ?

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross

Phil 2

Amen .... Thanks , John .

Submitting the whole passage .

1 Corinthians 2

1When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. 4My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. Wisdom From the Spirit

6We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him" 10but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words14The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
16"For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

The mind of Christ .. appears to be full of contradictions .. when we measure our standard against His actual actions .. instead of His actual actions against His actual standard .. so is really quite clear .

Phil 2

This was another verse I was going to mention.

Jesus had a humble spirit and service the people, meeting their needs and loving them. This is the attitude, the mindset we should also have, to be a servant to others in whatever way we can instead of trying to become top dog.

Amen .

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. (Philippians 2:3)
