Was Mary Sinless?

For He made Him who know no sin to be SIN FOR US, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 cor. 5:21

Now Christ is the only person that was ever 'sinless',and all human mankind has sin.

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.Gal 3:22

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8

What is sad is that some religions put Mary on the same spiritual level as Christ, and that's false teachings..

Mary is a sinner, but God chose to find 'favor' on her by bringing Christ into the world.

What a 'honor...''

Very good Faith :smiley90: Here's a few more verses:

For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not
Ecle 7:20

If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near
1 King 8:46

No Man that Sinneth Not. That includes Mary.

I tried to compare the scripture from Elisabeth the mother of John the baptist and Mary, I feel these two were the greatest women in the bible, and thought it might give some inclination on this.

Luke 1:5-6
5 THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Ju-dae'-a, a certain preist named Zach-a-ri'-as, of the course of A-bi'-a; and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all commandments and ordinances of the LORD blamless..

Here, I do feel as though Elizebeth and Zacharias are without sin, because the LORD called them blameless and righteous.

now to Mary:
Luke:27-28
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Does the word also specifically say that Mary was also blameless, no, but I truly feel she must have been completly walking upright and righteouss as well to have been blessed to bore the SON of GOD.

Was Mary Sinless?

Luke 1:46-48 (King James Version)

46And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

You don't need a saviour to save your from sin if you have never sinned. So in essense, she is admitting she had sinned when she said He was her saviour.

While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed.”

But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”

Luke 11:27-28

Then he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of God."

Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Revelation 19:9-10

God bless brothers and sisters in Christ

I'm so new in my Bible studies that I don't have much in the way of scripture. I do want to quote Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I do not believe that Mary was sinless. I believe that Jesus was the only person who was ever sinless.
