This is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Joshua, which was originally Hoshea (Num_13:8, Num_13:16), but changed by Moses into Jehoshua (Num_13:16; 1Ch_7:27), or Joshua. After the Exile it assumed the form Jeshua, whence the Greek form JESUS. It was given to our Lord to denote the object of his mission, to save (Mat_1:21). ( COURTESY EASTON BIBLE DICTIONARY)

Of course we should not forget the personal name of God, which Bible scholars call the tetragrammaton.

From the preface of the New International Version:

In regard to the divine name YHWH, commonly referred to as the Tetragrammaton, the translators adopted the device used in most English versions of rendering that name as "LORD" in capital letters to distinguish it from Adonai, another Hebrew word rendered "Lord," for which small letters are used. Wherever the two names stand together in the Old Testament as a compound name of God, they are rendered "Sovereign LORD."

That is too funny and so true . No wonder people from other countries say Engish is such a hard language.

Strictly speaking the original pronunciation of the tetragrammaton was lost.

From the preface of the New Revised Standard Version:

While it is almost if not quite certain that the Name was originally pronounced "Yahweh," this pronunciation was not indicated when the Masoretes added vowel sounds to the consonantal Hebrew text. To the four consonants YHWH of the Name, which had come to be regarded as too sacred to be pronounced, they attached vowel signs indicating that in its place should be read the Hebrew word Adonai meaning "Lord" (or Elohim meaning "God").

The Jews value the name so much that they don't want to pronounce it.

But since God has other names that we could use, so that's fine :)
