Do You Know How To Win Your Battles ?

Spiritual Warfare .
2 Thessalonians 3:3 The Lord is faithful . He will establish you and guard you against the evil one .

If we learn the truth about our adversary we can apply our spiritual warfare.

God has put limits on satan and to think that he can get access to us as children of God is a lie that satan wants us to believe .

1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us God will not let us be tempted beyond our ability .

Remember " liar " is one of the enemy's names , so do not believe his promptings and recognize that voice is not from God .

Satan is not " omni " ---- any thing . In other words he doesn't know what your thinking .... he is not everywhere and he can only do what God allows .

And satan is the defeated enemy . How do we know that ? In Rev. 20 we are told that satan will be thrown into the lake of fire ---- he has already lost.

OUr greatest victory is the resurrection of Jesus Christ . Jesus' victory guarantees our victory in the spiritual war.

We can win the battle because of Christ who strengthens us .

So when satan comes knocking at your door , just say " Jesus will you get that for me "

You're right on, Satan isn't omni present, and it's by the power of Christ that we conquere all kinds of evil :).

What do you think about the situation in Job? We aren't given a timeframe... or how it worked exactly... but somehow Satan was able to travel from before God, and then to Job? I don't understand what you are trying to say that satan travelled before God . God has always been here since before time . Or how do you suppose that worked.I believe God allowed satan to test Job because he already knew Job's character but would not let satan tempt him beyond what he could tolerate . I've been known to tell people that though Satan is pointed to as the Father of Lies, and therefore the key constructor of all kinds of evil... it isn't necessarily "Satan" himself, the fallen angel Lucifer, that pesters you. You ae right because the Bible says satan has a legion of angels. Though, it could be certainly... it is unlikely. Couldn't it be one of many spiritual entities who are all on the same team? Yes it could be for sure. So, instead of "Satan" I'll say, "devils." I mean, I can't really say Satan himself has never introduced himself in my life, but like you said... he isn't omni present, and I kinda feel he has bigger fish to fry.

Though, we do wage war against spiritual powers that be... and against our own flesh, every single day.Yes , that is true and we are told also that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and to not go out without praying and putting on the full armour of God .

What do you think? How do frequent do you believe we personally encounter Satan, himself, if ever at all? I believe because we are followers of Christ we will always be of interest to our enemy and where he attacks us is in our thought life. If we don't think pure thoughts or put our thoughts under that Blood of Jesus , it can be very easy for us to slip and that is when the enemy is waiting I am talking of my own experiences here . One point is : do you see satan attacking un - believers ? No , because he already has them right where he wants them .. My understanding that it is slim to none. But, that's just understanding he is, as you pointed out, not omni anything. When we say "Satan" is that just a general reference to any evil power that be? If so, would it be better to call it what it is... an unknown spiritual evil power, that we do battle against. Or, as you also pointed out... that we let Jesus handle for us :) Call him what you may but he is there , roaming as the Bible says like a roaring lion ready to devour who he may.

Just looking to speak the truth, and gather well rounded proper understanding, and doctrine from God's Word. Whatcha think? How does it all work? :)

Amen my brother . Thanks for your thoughts and we are all growing in the Lord together . That's awesome . Of course it all works as we put our trust in Jesus Christ, whom to know is life eternal

Ahhhhh, winning your battles.... Yes, the word of God sends the devil running. Whenever I have a battle, I give it to God. No matter what it is; no matter how big or small. I give it to God. When I get attacked, I go straight to scripture; no matter what it is. If I am worried, I start saying aloud my worried scripture, when I am in distress, I start saying aloud my distress scripture. No matter what it is, I have a scripture for it.

When I get attacked, I walk boldly to the Throne Room of God and this is how it plays out:

"I go to God humbled in the Throne Room and I imagine God saying to me, "what can I do for you my beloved child." and I say, "Father, I am feeling bad, depressed, fearful, (whatever I am feeling at that time). I am coming to you claiming your promises to your children. You said that you will never leave us or forsake us. I need you to take care of this. God ministers to me and I am quiet listening to Him. It is more important what He has to say to me than what I feel like I need to say to Him. I do not leave that Throne Room until the situation is cleared. In that Throne Room, satan cannot enter, although he knocks, God always tells me, "You stay right here with me, I got him. Now, is this an instantaneous thing? Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. You see in that Throne Room I ask God to forgive me of anything that I may have done, I ask God if there is something that He wants me to do or not do. I ask God to instruct me. I fellowship and praise Him. Do you know what He does while I am in the Throne Room of God? He removes it. Because I am with Him, I don't think about what I am going through. Yes, indeed, God is my refuge. He knows me very well. I often laugh because when I do go to Him, I imagine Him smiling and saying to the Angels, "here comes my beloved daughter again. She knows where to come in times of trouble." I imagine the door opening up and God saying to me, "Come into my rest."

Yes, the victory is mine, mine, all mine. The devil cannot have nothing from me as long as God is with me.

Prasise God my dear . That is awesome . He is our protector our provider , our comforter, our strong tower, .... the Alpha and Omega , the beginning and the end . He satifies our soul . Where else could we go than to the Lord .? He knows all about the issue before we come . He wants to fellowship with us and us to know that He is our Father.and that we can call Him Abba Father.
