Ark of the convenant

Ark of the convenant

Could it be true? Thousands of years it has been proclaimed as lost or hidden.. Feel free to discuss this ancient artifact..:) Thank you!

There is no evidence to support any of the numerous and fantastic claims made by Ron Wyatt.

Christians don't need fantastic discoveries to sustain our faith and atheists will always explain away such things - if they are discovered.

Matthew 12:39 But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet."

One question would be can something made of wood lasy 2000 years?
The earthly is but a shadow of the heavely. There is really no need for an earthly ark today but it would be cool to see anyhow.:)

If the Ark were found today the manna put in the jar would be as fresh as the day it was put in there.
But as Ginger so aptly put it we don't need the spectacular to sustain our faith.

It says in Revelation that the ark was taken to heaven and it will come back at the end of time. :D

I don't know about it coming back, but here is the scripture!
Revelation 11:19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

Just a thought-
Since that was not the same Temple there is no reason to think that was the same ark.
Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

There was one Ark. It's sitting in heaven somewhere.

But just in case........

Jesus Is Lord.
Thanks for your opinion Mike. I bleieve all we had on earth was a type and shadow of the real bnut I do not mind if we disagree on this. I also personally believe the spirit of the regenerate man has now become the ark of God.
Many blessings, brother Larry.

Amen, I see no were in scripture that tells of it being anywhere except in heaven. If people would just consider what would happen to them if they even touched the ark or not handle it according to the instructions of God, then they would understand why it has to be in heaven.

But then there is no scripture telling us it was taken up either- so either way you go it is a best guess scenario.

Yes, the symbolic ark that Moses built for the Tabernacle was a representation of the real, which is and always has been in Heaven. The symbolic earthly ark made of wood and metal was destroyed like all the other relics of the past. The Garden of Eden, Noah's ark, the cross and so on. It's best that they are all gone or we would be worshiping them.

Maccabees tells us that Jeremiah hid the Ark from the invaders in a cave on Mt Nebo. There have been many tales of the Ark over the millennia and there remains no proof of any of them. Wyatt has an elaborate view of the Cross and how the blood trickled down upon the mercy seat. The only problem is that there is no real proof of anything he claims. First of all the historic place of execution was on the Southern peak of the Mount of Olives - far from his location.

As already stated - I doubt if wood could have survived all these years - about 3,500. The gold would remain however. It would take divine preservation to have kept it intact - but nothing else has survived either. The absence of the Ark from the Temple of Herod was by design I believe because God's symbology is perfect.

Amen Larry. The type and shadow must give way to the real.

Agreed again. The symbol fortells but it is only a shadow of the real.

Actually no- there is no evidence that a man made ark ever made it to glory.

So, Apparently you take this scripture symbolical rather than literally? Revelation 11:19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

This is were we differ, if that be the case! Of course you and I differ on a lot on scripture!
