Children under 5?

My kids are 25, 18 and 16 but I frequently have my 3 year old grandson. He is as cute as pie and a real handful!:)

Welcome to our forum, Momma! My kids are also not young anymore. But I found a job where they pay me to hug and kiss babies all day! :p I work in a day care with infants to 1 yr. It is incredible to watch them grow and to give them encouragement along the way. I know how exciting a time it must be for you and your spouse. And it is so much fun to share them with others. I have taken some of our babies (with permission of course of the parents) to nursing homes to share with the elderly. Have you ever done that?

Sometimes, they have not held an infant or listened to a 2-yr-old's jabber in years. It is really rewarding to see their faces and watch as the children trace their wrinkles and sometimes give them a hug. We all need hugs now and then, and little ones have a talent at healing an aching heart. They fill my love bucket every day.

Hopefully you can find a "following" here on our forum and maybe even share some of their banter to make us smile. Thanx for being willing to share. Bonnie

Proud papa here of a beautiful 4 year old daughter and a fireball 2 year old son. I have learned more about how God looks at me as his most precious child through these two wonderful kids. I discipline them, it reminds me of how God disciplines me. I praise them and it reminds me of how God praises me. I forgive them when they make the same mistakes and do the wrong things over and over. It reminds me of how my Father in Heaven continues to forgive my sinly nature everyday.

I pray that God will continue to show me mercy as I strive to be closer to him.

Ours just turned 2 a few months back, and all I can say is WOW. I cant even imagine life without my little boy, its amazing how much more fun everything becomes when you have those precious little ones around.

Being he is our first, Im sure we are doing some things wrong, so if any of you parenting masters have any advice for a rookie dad, Im all ears!!

I haev 2 nephews about 2.5 years old and they are AMAZING! One of them has the IQ and vocabulary of a 5 year old. It's unbelievable what he remembers and how intelligently he talks about it. He's so funny and cool. When he meets strangers he even gives them a cool wave and nod, with this mature expression of "hey man" on his face.

His sugar highs are tonnes of fun too!

:D
