Jesus washing away sins

we are with Jesus,do you keep washing away mistakes,or learn from mistakes.?

I am afraid the answer is both Mike. One day we will be free from this cursed earth though.

That depends entirely on when Jesus comes back! If He comes today we will be with Him here anyway though. If we die first we will come with Him to be here.

how many people have believed in Jesus and have been transformed and changed into a good way.and how many have seen believing in Jesus as an easy way to sin.?then the question is how many have Jesus,and why is it a narrow way.

Isaiah 53:4-5

4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

I need some advice regarding my own personal experience. I used to pray and ask for my sins to be forgiven. However, as I continued to commit the same sins over and over again, I felt bad to keep asking God to forgive me for the same sins. I felt that I had disappointed God, by breaking my promise of not committing the same sins yet doing so in the end. Over time, I began to pray and ask for forgiveness less because I did not want to continuously let God down. Can anyone tell me what I should do?

Seems like there aren't too many online now to answer you immediately, so I'll give it a stab, as to what I have learned.

I was doing the same as you, until I got some advice from someone. They said to try being obedient sometime, like as if you were a child. If you know what tempts you in that sin, try staying away from where you know you will be tempted. Well, with me, it was where ever I went, so I had to devise a plan of what I would do to out-smart the "old fart" (satan, that is).

In my case, it would just be to look down or turn around and run, praying all the way. It is hard to do but I did that very thing just today. It seems like when satan knows what your weakness is, he will throw it at you all the time. You just have to learn how to run, and not catch it. I was always automatically reaching out my hands to catch that "ball" so to speak. Am I making any sense. It's hard to explain something when I'm not willing to reveal what the temptation is. Do you mind sharing what "so easily besets you?"

Hey, I don't think Jesus walks on earth today, Smelly. If I'm wrong, I'll be corrected.

As far as how many have seen believing in Jesus as an easy way to sin.? Why would you want to do that? If you truly believed in Jesus, you wouldn't want to break His heart and sin again, or at least not willingly, would you? Do some people do that in the church you attend? I know Bo would know the verse for that. I've heard it.

I think the reason it is a narrow path to follow is because you have to work hard to walk in the way Jesus walked. It's not always easy. Sometimes you have to find other friends and not watch things you used to watch, not go to places you used to go often and sacrifice your sleeping in on Sabbath morning, etc. Most people don't want to work that hard. To some people, its hard to study His Word. Not to me; I've always been a seeker and I love the Word. But I am working pretty hard to learn how to pray and how to believe that He really does love me, even if I make mistakes. Do you find it hard in your walk with God, Smelly?

When temptation comes (and it will) cry out to Jesus. When you cry out believe that He is empowering you and walk in His strength by faith. You will have the victory.
This is always a great help to me-
We might be tempted to sin when it is hidden but would we want to sin in front of God? We must remember that the Holy Spirit of God is with us each second of every day. If we become aware of this we will not want to grieve this wonderful Holy Spirit of God but love and bless Him.

i find it difficult when i see people being used to lie.i also find it very difficult to trust people.also being caught on every word i say is difficult.:eek:

Since following the Lord I have learned to do much apologizing Mike.

To the original quotted message...understand that you will NEVER EVER be free of sin until you are redeemed by Jesus. Not even one is without sin. Jesus Christ alone can save us, but we can never be perfect. So, keep asking forgiveness and keep working on not sinning. And when you do sin, Satan is the one who wants you to stop asking forgivenesssss (the additional s's are because Satan is a poisionous snake!)

I agree. I learn but sometime I have to make that some mistake several times to really learn my lesson. I feel like it is more temptation that grabs me and will not let go.

SC, we are the Body of Christ, He walks the earth through the Holy Spirit in each believer.
Sin is always looking to have an entrance into our lives, but Jesus has set us free from the Law of sin, whilst we do still sin, we dont have to, we are free , we are no longer slaves to sin.
Before we didnt have a choice, now we do.

correct.free to be good.not free to make others suffer or you become like the jews,God,s lost sheep.they did evil to show how good God is.:eek::eek::eek:.no wonder they missed Jesus.:eek:
