New Years is always at Mom's house.

We get together, watch TV, eat a bunch of things that are bad for us (candy, chips, pop, etc.) and then at midnight we all go outside and light off fireworks and yell back at everybody who's out screaming.

Usually we stay outside screaming "Happy new year!" until someone starts firing off guns or rifles down the road, and then we go back inside.

I always set my watch by the atomic clock. But the real countdown is always on TV for my Mom...she watches the ball drop every year.

Hey! They got a new ball this year! They said it's even bigger and ballier than the last ball!

Happy New Year, everybody!

This year they let people but New Year wishes in the ball - I imagine it is too late now (and I don't have the link) but they had people submit 'wishes' on a website that were then printed and put in the ball to shower down on everyone. The site said there was everything from Happy New Year to Keep my son safe in Iraq to I want a new bike.

Dusty...alas!

I think I have finally come out of my Fireball stage. I got two bags of them at home, and they just don't appeal to me anymore.

I go through stages like that, I don't know why. One time it was cheddar cheese. Another time it was spinach leaves. And, this one is really embarrassing, one time it was burnt microwave popcorn. I know, I know, I'm weird. Ha ha.

I'll go to a doctor when I start crunching on crayons like they're carrot sticks.
