Default Is this bad or no?

Well my major is video game design, and ever since Jan of 2004 I have been working on my game ideas. I really have good ideas and I really one day want to make it. The type of game is a MMORPG, games such like Everquest and World of Warcraft, but its going to be completly different. My theme is of course a high fantasy theme. For my storyline, the only way I knew how to do it was through a timeline. My story isnt complete yet. Anyways most of those genre games have different deities in them, and that is also pagen and I dont care for that. So in mine, it has a christian type of theme to the creater of my made up world for my game. There are different fantasy races in my game as well, if any of you had played RPG or MMORPG games you would know. I called God in my game, the Divine and creator. I also made up some lore for my game and stuff. My question is, is it bad to have a christian like God and make up my own world that he is in? I mean, would that offend him or do you think he would like it? I also have some bible refrences as well but its not like the real bible refrenses, they are made up into my game. I was wondering if that was bad as well.. sorry for some reason I just cant think of a better way to ask my question if it seems a little confusing. Here is my first paragraph of my story....

The sparks of light casting from the heavens rained upon the world; white ghostly orbs penetrating the lands formation and ecosystems. The morning eclipse blazed the new land as three races spawned from time. The Humans, the Elves and Dwarfs were put on the Divine’s world. The creator chooses these particular races for his three natures, Love, Hope and Faith. Each of those natures would be true in the heart of each of those races. The Humans would carry wisdom, the Elves would carry intelligence and the dwarfs would carry the brute force. The creator thought those three things will balance them with the world he created.

The creator put these races on three contents, Rhaaldan, Yuin and Caypatha. Rhaaldan and Yuin was the continent that resided in the western hemisphere and Caypatha was located in the Eastern hemisphere. The great ocean of Mahdran divided the two continents. The nature of this world created deadly oceans between the two land masses. So travel would be sparse between.

Over time three celestial bodies engaged and reside on the creator’s new world to keep just and order. These three mystical bodies were allowed to show their magnificence to the creator’s creation. Because of the glory of the creator, these beings could not comprehend the state of these bodies, so their imagination created this dragon like image. And so forth that’s what they became. The eldest of these dragons was Dragonlore, the knowledge and wisdom of the three. His sons, Arraanik and Sek companied him. Dragonlore decided to have his sons rule over each of the continents for their heavenly duty. Arraanik was to watch over Rhaaldan and Sek was to watch of Caypatha. The creator gave permission to Dragonlore to allow practices of the true spirit of man. Thus, this is how magic was created.

As long as your heart is pure in what you are presenting and He is honored I do not think this is a problem. The Chronicles of Narnia did much the same thing but I did not see anything offensive Godward. This is of course my opinion but I feel the world needs more exposure to The Lord and the priciples of His kingdom.

Many, many stories are based on, or around the Christian story, including Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia.
Also loosley, so are many fairy tales etc.
I think we need more computer games and the like that are based on what God says, and that dont have violence for violence sake etc.
I think as has been said, providing your heart is to honor God, then I believe you can even ask Him for ideas!
God bless.

Reminds me a bit of "Black & white", but on a MMORPG level.

My game isnt like Black and White at all. If any of you played Everquest or World of Warcraft, its similar in ways but with a different story and alot of different things. The first part of the story is to just explain how things came to be that is all.

In the majority of MMORPG's there will be violence. But my violence isnt for violence what so ever. I do have a Satan character as well, and my story is similar to the bibles as stated before. The violence I have in my game is similar to why we have violence today.

I play WoW, Ragnarok, and Guild Wars, and I have played FFXI and Maple Story. UO and Everquest never really interested me at all.

I'm just saying, that the back story seemed a bit like B&W, which is cool. From what you are saying I like it. But in the end, it's not the backstory that makes or breaks the game. It's how well the game mechanics are. I barely know/care about the backstories for WoW, though I think Ragnarok set up a pretty cool backstory.

A while down the road, I'm going to looking back on this day thinking: Wow! I knew this kid when he was just starting out!

It all sounds so fantastic, I'm envious in that I've never learned to express myself in the way that seems to come so naturally to you.

You are blessed, my friend. God has given you great talent.

Thank you very much! I am not a good writer, I can be fairly decent when I really want to write a story thats about it.
